    Heavy Commercial Vehicle Desktop Assessor - JBH

    A position has become available for a Desktop Assessor, Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) and Non-Abuntex claims. The position will be based in the Motor Claims department at the Auckland Park, Johannesburg offices

    WHAT WILL YOU DO

    The purpose of this position is to determine the quantum and merit of segmented motor claims by performing investigations, verifying the description of the event with the loss, negotiating with (client, intermediary, and service providers) and settlement of claims within a delegated threshold and according to contract conditions.

    WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

    • Quote and assess damage against a provided or requested quotation.
    • Decide whether to replace or repair part
    • Ability to identify and use aftermarket spares when vehicle warranty has expired.
    • Refer to expert if required.
    • Generate claims report and communicate the outcome with client and intermediary.
    • Determine market value of vehicle for settlement (valuation).
    • Establish outstanding finance details, release settlements and documents for salvage management.
    • Ability to Authorise for repair, cash settlement, replace or write-off.
    • Complete investigative / merit report.
    • Make notes on claims systems, process claims and upload documents.
    • Required to load the order amendments.
    • Responsible to sign off the Final Repair Calculation (FRC).

    • VDQGBSA Membership
    • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical related studies or Automotive/ equivalent Mechanical or Automotive Body Repair Qualification (e.g. Qualified Panel Beater, Diesel Mechanic, etc.)
    • 3 years’ experience in Heavy Haulage repairs or assessments 
    • Five (5) years’ experience in the motor and Short term Insurance industry.
    • Attained product training in Liability - Defective Workmanship would be advantageous.
    • Technical skills obtained through training and courses in Heavy Haulage would be advantageous

    What will you do?
    Santam is looking for a passionate, proactive, and energetic individual for a position as Treasury Administrator on a 6 month Fixed Term contract. The position exists in the Group Treasury, Back-office team based in Tygervalley, Bellville.

    Emerald a subsidiary of Santam has a position available for a Driver who will be based in Fourways, Johannesburg.

    What will you do?

    • The role includes, but not limited to the following;
    • Display a professional business approach to visitors, clients, and fellow staff members.
    • Drive the vehicle in accordance with the current traffic requirements.
    • Maintain the vehicle in accordance with the Company policies.
    • Daily inspection on vehicle
    • Ensure no damage to items collected or delivered including the vehicle.
    • Items collected/delivered are correct according to collection slip/delivery note.
    • On time delivery according to the required standards
    • Accepting clients or visitors at a professional level on a daily basis
    • Assisting People and Brand with functions as and when required
    • Ad- Hoc duties

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric with English
    • 5 years’ experience in driving
    • Valid code 10 driver’s license
    • Valid PDP
    • Must be able to work flexible hours
    • The individual should display a level of professional business approach to visitors, clients, and fellow staff members.
    • Individual applying for this position needs to be self-disciplined, professional, well presented, self-motivated and possess excellent communication and driving skills.

    Merit: Claims Service Consultant - JBH

    • The purpose of this position is for the processing and claims administration end to end on assigned claims and also responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing all actions on claims in the Merit Motor channel. The CSC will ensure that the claim is validated and applicable assessors are appointed through engaging with the relevant stakeholders once the claim is assessment ready.

    WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

    • Manage workload and instructions from all systems 
    • Ensure completeness and correctness of documents.
    • Responsible for all actions to get claim assessment ready.
    • Contact client or intermediary telephonically/email for any identified outstanding information.
    • Handle complaints, queries and all interaction with clients, Intermediaries, Service Providers, internal stakeholders, Relationship Managers, Claims Committee and Underwriters.
    • Process payments and orders as per Assessor recommendation and instruction
    • Responsible for arrange and manage car hire requests and extensions
    • Various other duties as the role may require

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric
    • Fully computer literate (MS Office)
    • Minimum 5 years’ claims experience
    • Any previous claims handling, pre-support and or post support experience is advantageous
    • Customer service -interaction with role players in the motor industry
    • Knowledge of Abuntex, BPM, Claim Centre and Codeplex will be an advantage
