Our client, a well-established construction company based in Pretoria, is seeking a reliable and experienced Code 14 Driver to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of construction materials, equipment, and employees between the company's premises and various project sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellent vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy-duty vehicles in accordance with all road traffic regulations and company policies.
Transport construction materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies to various construction sites.
Transport construction personnel to and from project sites when required.
Ensure all loads are correctly secured and comply with legal load requirements.
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Report mechanical faults, maintenance requirements, accidents, or incidents immediately.
Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
Complete delivery notes, logbooks, trip sheets, and any other required documentation accurately.
Assist with loading and offloading of materials where required.
Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations on construction sites.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients, suppliers, and site personnel.
