Tutor | Cornwall Hill Country Estate, Centurion | R300 Per Hour at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Children’s Ages: Grade 7 - Girl
• Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: ADHD. In short - student is sensory seeking, difficulty to organise and need to be placed on a routine regarding doing homework; struggle to get started.
• Support Style: Student is on ADHD medication, can be motivated, tutor needs to have a strong personality (but also be kind)
• Working hours: Monday – Friday 15:00 – 17:00 (Tuesdays and Thursdays times may vary due to extracurricular activities, but can be discussed)
• School holiday hours: Not required (unless prep is required for a test or exam)
• Duties: Someone who is able to provide both academic guidance and a supportive learning environment. Main focus would be on Maths, English, Natural Science, Technology and Social Sciences. The tutor will conduct 2–3 sessions per week, including lesson planning and delivering ADHD-friendly teaching with a key focus on Mathematics and English. Responsibilities include preparing the pupil for tests and exams, identifying and addressing learning gaps by re-teaching concepts, and supporting the development of task initiation and completion skills. The tutor will also provide regular feedback through weekly updates and detailed monthly progress reports.  The tutor must also be able to speak Afrikaans, as that is also one of her subjects. 
• Special Requirements: Special needs experience supporting ADHD learners. Preferably a Muslim and Female candidate.  The ideal candidate holds a BEd (Intermediate or Senior Phase and FET) or a PGCE with a specialisation in Mathematics, English, or Senior Phase, and is registered with SACE. They have a minimum of 3 years’ proven teaching or tutoring experience with Grade 6 to 9 learners, either in a school environment or through an established tutoring company, with contactable references. The candidate must have solid experience teaching Mathematics and English at a Grade 7 level, as well as practical experience supporting learners with ADHD or other learning and attention difficulties.
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – permanent
• Salary: R300ph | +- R13 200 per month (Gross, before deductions) 

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
