Tyre Attendant - Durban at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• To ensure that the administrative functions related to tyre purchase, repair and disposal are  correctly carried out.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Prepare requisition to draw tyres from store for Foremans authorisation.
• Maintain records of vehicle make and relevant tyre size current.
• Draw up tyre/tube requisitions for supply from MMD stores or external.
• Process costing schedule for tyres/tubes prior to data capture clerk function.
• Make out tyre/tube job cards for cars and trucks depot.
• Update job cards with supplier invoice information prior data capture function.
• Issue work schedule for tyre fitters.
• Liaise with Foreman regarding need for tyre/tube stock replenishment.
• Liaise with customers to confirm vehicles is available for tyre/tube servicing.

Essential Requirements    

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• 3 months experience in knowledge of tyres.
• Computer Literacy

Preferred Requirements    

• 6 months experience in knowledge of tyres.
