5 - 7 years of relevant experience in the Cement Industry, with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
A Supervisory qualification would be advantageous.
Extensive knowledge of technical techniques, tools, and equipment.
Must be Computer literate
Valid South African driver's license
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction and cement industry.
Problem solving, team management, time management, supervisory and planning skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of compressors, Rotary blowers, hot water pumps, water treatment plant, Raw water pumping station & oil decanting & transportation system.
Plans, directs, and manages a major function of the Mechanical activities for the complete area.
Manage & supervise all Routine & Non-routine Mechanical jobs
Checks daily check lists for abnormalities.
Plan & Manage all maintenance jobs for Routine Shut down or break down Maintenance.
Manage all consumable item’s inventory & spare parts to reduce down time & Cost Optimization.
Responsible for all the tools & Spare parts inventory & keeping in good condition.
Manage Engineering Manpower according to duty roster & especially in case of emergency.
Maintain Moral & Discipline in the team
Maintaining the Mechanical History Cards of all Machines after any major activity.
Fellows the Preventive Maintenance works & does Maintenance at request of Supervisor/Foreman PM.
Implementation of safety procedures during Shut down or routine maintenance
Spare Parts & Consumable items inventory
Tools Inventory lists.
Manage the Shifting of Spare Parts etc.
Must be able to work in a workshop and plant environment.
Must be available on standby
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
