UX Team Lead at OUTsurance

Job overview

We are looking for a UX team lead who is passionate about designing easy-to-use and modern staff platforms which will help us service our clients more effectively. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to deliver on multiple roadmaps across different workstreams.

Qualification and Experience

• Relevant Diploma
• 3- 5 years’ recent experience in an UX role working with development teams in agency or corporate
• Experience coding HTML5/CSS/ JavaScript/Angular and/ or to website standard a plus to facilitate communication with developers
• Project management skills to prioritise and meet agreed timelines with team
• Understanding of design techniques and principals involved in the production of conceptual prototypes and wireframes
• Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences

As the UX Team Lead you will be responsible for:

• Have a solid understanding of the different platforms and the types of users who engages with the respective platforms
• Work collaboratively with product owners to prioritise work for the UX/UI team to meet deadlines across multiple workstreams
• Translate product owner scope into UX requirements and design recommendations
• Owner of design review agenda based on priorities and able to justify design decisions based on thorough understanding of objectives from stakeholders
• Review and provide feedback on wireframes, hi-fidelity designs, and other UX artefacts using sound UX principles and feedback from design review sessions
• Work with UI/UX and development team to implement a design system that is reusable, scalable, shared amongst teams and follow certain standards
