    Video Editor

    About The Role

    We are looking for a video editor to join our growing creative team. In this role, you will support video ad creation, as well as drive video campaign execution at a global level. You will work closely with copywriters, project managers, developers, and production resources to create brand advertising campaigns as well as tactical campaigns for key sales seasons. As a Video Editor at our company, you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing videos for internal and external purposes. As video has become the best way for communicating company's messages on online platforms, your position will play an important role in our company's success. You will focus on developing creative video assets for digital campaigns (spanning social, display, video etc.). You will have the opportunity to work on projects from concept to completion – developing directions, presenting work, and ensuring its executed flawlessly and on time.

    You will be working directly with the marketers/creative (who run advertising on google, FB, Insta, digital) all the time creating engaging videos to sell our products online. At the very beginning, these people will say what they need from you. Your main goal is to create videos which can sell the product, so you will be talking, brainstorming and testing new ideas all the time. Reviewing the data, recreating new videos and running new tests.

    We see the numbers on how people engage with the videos (watch time, Click-through rates, engagement etc.). These videos either help to sell our clients' products or don't, but most of the time we can find out why it works or doesn't.

    In this position, the most important part is that you would be able to Learn fast & Adapt. You shouldn't be only interested in creating nice looking videos but more like creating the Right videos. Which communicate the right message and resonates with the target audience.

    Who You Are

    You are creative thinker and capable to look at our brand through the lense of a customer: What problems does DNAFit and Circle help solve and how can the DNAFit and Circle brand be most effectively communicated leveraging different creative formats? As a challenger brand in a highly innovative space we need to constantly push creative boundaries. You enjoy having your hands on several things at once. You have a strong background for creating video ads for marketing and social. Ideally you have gained first work experiences in a creative / digital / advertising agency or a startup and are very familiar with FB, IG and display advertising formats. Lastly, you speak digital. When there is a new design trend, app or meme, you are the first to know

    What You Will Do

    • Execute creative videos for a variety of marketing and social campaigns, across a broad range of platforms
    •  Videos will be used in the Sales process, so you should understand the structure of a sales video.
    • Have a good understanding of how to create an engaging storyline.
    •  Ability to use and edit with After Effects (it's a bonus if you can use other Adobe programs)
    • Should know the requirements for Instagram, Facebook, and other placements
    • Support the development of creative concepts and designs for new campaigns
    • Collaborate with copywriters and teammates to translate strategy into smart marketing that incites action
    • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
    • Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
    •  Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
    • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video ads
    •  Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
    • Create rough and final cuts
    • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
    •  Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
    • Work marketing team to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created
    • Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
    • Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
    • Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
    • Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present to teams and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video
    • Improve video and sound quality using various video software
    • Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project
    • Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to client's specifications
    • Graphic design skills and experience (Would be a big plus)
    • Availability & Fast turn around period.
    • Present and defend work to colleagues

    Your Skillset and Experiences

    • Strong knowledge of video editing
    • Extensive experience with various digital ad formats (i.e. different facebook ad types, Instagram, display ads and email marketing) is essential
    • Ability to work as part of a global team and to deliver work for multiple countries
    • Strong ability to present and explain creative work
    • Proficient in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects
    • Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics is preferred.
    • Proven work experience as a video editor
    • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media --Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
    • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
    • Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
    • Creative mind and storytelling skills
    • Creative / Digital / Advertising agency experience is a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in film editing or related degree is required
    • Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs
    •  Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
    •  Creative experience in filmmaking and videography
    • Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with teams and the ability to bring them to life
    • Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
    •  Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects
    • Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
    • Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products
