As VP Marketing, you’re responsible for building a world-class marketing function at OfferZen. We market to a niche audience of software developers and tech companies that creates a marketing environment that’s difficult to crack, but extremely rewarding when you do. You’ll work closely with the Community function to build a marketing engine that can launch new markets and sustainably grow existing markets. You’ll be responsible for and manage the content, product marketing, performance and lifecycle teams.
What you will be doing
Take responsibility for annual marketing plan, goals, strategy and team
Develop differentiated positioning and build impactful marketing strategies
Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team
Build a marketing organization that delivers against marketing goals in multiple geographies
Partner with VP Community to build out the candidate lifecycle and leverage our community for nurturing and retention
Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads
Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
Work closely with the heads of SDR and Account Management to align sales and marketing strategies
Work with RevenueOps to understand customer segments and the relative ROI of each segment
Manage marketing budgets and expenditures
Support the brand team to build and maintain brand and ensure we have a consistent standards across all marketing and communications channels
Report to the CEO
What you should have
A university degree (or dropout for an interesting reason)
6+ years working as a leader in online marketing (ideally for an online marketplace)
Proven leader who has built world-class teams
Previous experience building world class acquisition and lead generation capabilities with primary experience in performance marketing, SEO and related acquisition functions
Experience and a good understanding of content marketing, product marketing, and digital marketing
Strong data analysis skills, comfortable analyzing campaign results, and working in financial models
Experience in SEO strategy for content/technical SEO/engineering as marketing
Interested in technology and startups
An understanding of (selling to) software developers
Experience running marketing for an online marketplace
Experience scaling marketing into multiple geographies
