    Bakery School Facilitator - Tembisa

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    • Facilitating learning to learners daily at the Bakery School and ensuring that all moderation and assessment procedures are adhered to.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Ensuring that all moderation and assessment procedures are adhered to.
    • Facilitating learning to learners daily.
    • Planning and preparing lessons as per curriculum.
    • Completing training as per curriculum supplied.
    • Providing monthly reports.
    • Rolling out developmental plan for learners.
    • Achieving agreed outcomes on a quarterly basis.
    • Updating learner tracking documents.
    • Perform other duties as per operational requirements.

    JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • Must have a relevant Bakery qualification (Confectionary, Pastry and Chocolate)
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Product knowledge of Bakery, Pastry, and chocolate industry.
    • Relevant experience in a training environment.
    • Be in possession of a Moderator and Assessor qualification.
    • Have previous experience in training learners & facilitating learners of classes up to 25 in numbers.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
    • Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite.
    • Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s)
    • Good personality, hardworking, teamwork, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.

    Operations Manager - Durban

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Reporting directly to the Branch Manager/National Operations Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:

    • To provide customer service through efficient delivery of products to customers.

    KEY TASKS

    Manage delivery of products to customers

    • Assess daily transport requirements based on Truck Routing done on the previous day by Route Planners
    • Oversee and assist in loading of products onto trucks
    • Supervise Pullers in cleaning of cages after loading of trucks is completed

    Ensure transport availability

    • Hold Meetings with Transport Supervisor to schedule vehicles for service

    ​​​​​​​Attend to logistic enquires and vehicle breakdowns

    • Attend to queries from Telesales, Sales Reps, Drivers and Customers regarding deliveries
    • Respond to Bidtrack Vehicle Tracking enquiries regarding delivery trucks
    • Attend to all Vehicle Breakdowns reported

    Manage staff and admin related matters

    • Compile Timesheets for all staff in Warehouse and Distribution department
    • Process all staff leave application forms submitted by Warehouse & Distribution staff and forward to Payroll Office
    • Attend to all staff queries from Warehouse & Distribution staff
    • Recruit casual staff
    • Arrange transport for all delivery drivers arriving after 7PM
    • Complete night-out Allowance forms for country drivers
    • Supervise duties of staff reporting directly to Distribution manager
    •  

    Attend and Conduct Key Operations Meetings

    • Attend Sales meeting every 2nd week
    • Hold departmental meetings with Drivers and Truck Assistants every weeks on Monday mornings
    • Hold departmental meetings with Pullers every week

    Manage Food Safety

    • Implementation and control of the food safety system
    • Coordinate the work of warehouse staff in relation to food safety tasks.
    • Ensure that all records in relation to food safety are maintained
    • Carry out Food Safety training sessions
    • Act as food safety representative during audits.
    • Follow up on all Audit Non-Conformance

    Manage Health and Safety

    • Ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are complied with
    • Ensure all health and safety precautionary measures are implemented
    • Carry out Health and Safety training for staff     

    Perform other duties as per operational requirements.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    • Matric (Grade 12) and knowledge of Freight Transport Systems; National Diploma in Logistics is preferred.
    • 3-5 years’ in a logistics environment.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), SharePoint and WMS (Johannesburg branch only)
    • Communicate with staff at all levels; communicate with persons outside the organisation; negotiate with customers; establish and maintain interpersonal relationships.

    Warehouse Supervisor - Port Elizabeth

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Based at Port Elizabeth to further strengthen our Operations team, we are currently seeking a:

    WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR – (Port Elizabeth, South Africa)

    Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:

    • Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Occupational Health and Safety, and Food Safety Environmental procedures, and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team 
    • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
    • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of goods meets customers timescales/requirements.
    • Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
    • Organize, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals
    • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements
    • Deliver the product to the customer on time, every time using appropriate methods.
    • Operate Bidtrack delivery tracking systems in order to monitor company vehicles.
    • Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.
    • Monitoring daily fuel consumptions.
    • Control of Forklift Truck management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets.
    • Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
    • Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
    • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
    • Assist the POD controller
    • Perform other duties assigned by your Line Manager.

    PROFILE

    • Matric (Grade 12)/ relevant Logistics or Operations qualification(s)
    • Warehouse Logistics/ Management experience.
    • Valid Forklift License.
    • Code 10 driver’s license will be an advantage.
    • Able to communicate clearly and fluently in English & Afrikaans
    • Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

    Telesales - Cape Town

    Reporting to the Sales Managerthe successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:

    • Liaising with all customers, must drive to achieve sales against budget, manage and execute all sales plans against business strategy.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Product knowledge of bakery, patissirie and chocolate industry.
    • Follow a daily customer calling cycle to obtain, capture, process and follow-up on orders.
    • Prepare and control quotation and follow-up therefore.
    • Ensure customer data and contract pricing are kept updated.
    • Assist customer with queries.
    • Coordinate with other departments for the orders processing, information processing and requests from customers. 
    • Other tasks assigned by Manager.

    PROFILE

    • Matric (Grade 12) and a National Diploma in Sales/Marketing or Food Science
    • Experience:  3-5 years in Sales and Bakery sector; B2B is preferable; Food sector (FMCG Market) is preferable
    • Languages: English is a prerequisite
    • Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Other expertise: Business & result driven, presentation skill, strong interpersonal skills: establishes easily contacts, sales and negotiation skills, team player.
