Ward Hostess - Polokwane at Tsebo Solution

• Tsebo Solutions Group is currently seeking a dedicated and customer focused Ward Hostess to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent meal service to patients while ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer care within the ward environment.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Serve meals and beverages to patients according to prescribed dietary requirements
• Assist patients with menu selection and explain meal options where necessary
• Accurately record patient meal choices and communicate them to the kitchen team
• Ensure meals are delivered on time and at the correct temperature
• Set up and prepare meal trolleys before distribution
• Check patient identification before serving meals to ensure accuracy
• Monitor and report any changes in patients’ appetite or dietary concerns to nursing staff
• Assist patients who require help with eating, where appropriate
• Clear trays after meals and ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas, kitchenettes, and service equipment
• Adhere strictly to infection control, health, and safety regulations
• Replenish ward pantry supplies and report shortages
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned, stored, and handled correctly
• Maintain accurate records of meal distribution and returns
• Report any complaints or feedback from patients promptly
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service at all times
• Support the kitchen and ward teams during busy periods
• Attend training sessions and follow company procedures and standards

• Previous experience in a hospital environment

Qualifications    

• Matric
• Previous experience in healthcare, catering or hospitality is advantagious
