Warehouse Coordinator - Witbank Parts at Komatsu Mining

Qualification:

• Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics or related qualification (NQF 6) (Essential)
• Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or related qualification (NQF 7) (Advantage)

Experience:

• 2 or more years’ experience within a warehouse environment
• 1 year supervisory experience in a warehouse environment

Specific Knowledge Requirements:

• Computer literate, with solid proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with SAP, including bin history, printing and capturing stock count sheets.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Job Specifications:

 Inbound Logistics

•   Supervising the planning, preparation and checking of inbound shipments
•   Controls & Coordinates inbound activities
•   Reports on statistics & analytics to facilitate continuous improvement of warehouse operations
•   Reports on slow-moving & obsolete stock

Warehouse Supervision & Inventory Control

• Facilitates and monitors correct storage of items
• Maintains/improves planograph (lay out) of the warehouse facility
• Checks that warehouse and yard security is maintained and that assets are safeguarded
• Arranges and participates in stock counts (perpetual stock counts and ad hoc counts as required)
• Supervises warehouse operations in multiple stores, such as tool stores, consumable stores and hazardous materials stores
• Monitors bins, layouts and zones by conducting inspections
• Monitors tidiness, cleanliness and order in the warehouse

Parts Obsolescence

• Prints parts obsolescence reports at set frequency as per procedure
• Administrates the parts scrapping procedure
• Monitors parts for obsolescence
• Reports obsolete parts to management

Outbound Logistics

• Supervises the planning, preparation and checking of outbound shipments
• Controls & Coordinates outbound activities
• Monitors picking for outbound inventory / parts/components/items
• Monitors "zero" picking
• Supervises the operation of mechanical handling equipment (e.g. fork lifts, etc.)
• Reports on statistics and analytics
• Reports on customer satisfaction about outbound activities
