    Water Demand Management Regulation and Planning WS 115/20 Manager

    Requirements:

    • Relevant professional qualification (Btech/first degree) in Engineering/Science discipline plus a management qualification will be preferred
    • At least eight (8) years’ extensive managerial experience in the water industry
    • A valid driver’s licence.

    Key performance areas:

    • Strategically advising and managing the formulation and implementation of policy and strategy within Water and Sanitation
    • Managing the provision of Water Demand Management operational implementation and conservation service by ensuring effective Water Demand Management operational implementation and conservation in Water Service
    • Developing, updating and managing water services development plan
    • Managing capital and operating budgets for the Branch and its associated functions
    • Ensuring the continuous development and extending of the treated effluent reticulation system
    • Managing and coordinating business information for Water and Sanitation Department (maintained, safeguarded)
    • Managing the integrated master planning to ensure that water service infrastructure plans are aligned to the development plan and spatial planning
    • Managing business improvement associated with the promotion of effectiveness and effi ciency in the provision of water services Managing the research, development and implementation of best water and sanitation practices
    • Managing the compliance to Water Services policies, regulations, strategies and, by-laws
    • Participating and providing leadership in different transversal programmes/tasks
    • Managing outcomes associated with the utilisation, empowerment, productivity and performance of personnel within the branch.
