Relevant professional qualification (Btech/first degree) in Engineering/Science discipline plus a management qualification will be preferred
At least eight (8) years’ extensive managerial experience in the water industry
A valid driver’s licence.
Key performance areas:
Strategically advising and managing the formulation and implementation of policy and strategy within Water and Sanitation
Managing the provision of Water Demand Management operational implementation and conservation service by ensuring effective Water Demand Management operational implementation and conservation in Water Service
Developing, updating and managing water services development plan
Managing capital and operating budgets for the Branch and its associated functions
Ensuring the continuous development and extending of the treated effluent reticulation system
Managing and coordinating business information for Water and Sanitation Department (maintained, safeguarded)
Managing the integrated master planning to ensure that water service infrastructure plans are aligned to the development plan and spatial planning
Managing business improvement associated with the promotion of effectiveness and effi ciency in the provision of water services Managing the research, development and implementation of best water and sanitation practices
Managing the compliance to Water Services policies, regulations, strategies and, by-laws
Participating and providing leadership in different transversal programmes/tasks
Managing outcomes associated with the utilisation, empowerment, productivity and performance of personnel within the branch.
