    Website Manager

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • The Website Manager will be responsible for input into the strategy, the website plan and execution of the content on the websites of Ackermans.
    • The website content should align with the campaign and content plan for the business, where content needs to be on-par with the latest industry trends and should be engaging and converting sessions to sales as well as further engage with the online commerce business and tech to ensure that the site is optimal, the content is optimal and that business targets aligns.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Website strategy and planning

    • Develop, define and implement the website strategic goals and objectives in line with the Marketing strategy.
    • Develop a roadmap for website updates, improvements and efficiencies based on market trends and the needs of our Customer.
    • Implementation of the agreed Digital marketing processes flow from handover of the promotional grid to post campaign analysis.
    • Provide input to the website budget and manage budget accordingly
    • Online Commerce

    Collaborate with online commerce team to drive website traffic and sales conversion through:

    • Driving improvement of UI and UX
    • Conceptualisation and execution of planned marketing content online
    • Quick response online marketing initiatives in accordance with sales opportunities/ insights
    • Review of performance and optimisation of site and/ or media
    • Collaborate with online commerce team to drive optimization through:
    • Design, development, maintenance of the end-to-end website
    • Inputs/role players: UX reporting, front/back-end developers, OC Manager, Competitor & Industry analysis
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure website functionality, security and performance is at optimal level.
    • Assist with testing and customer experience.
    • Incident management: liaising with technical team to ensure customer, business and marketing issues and bugs are resolved.
    • Determine impact of possible change, flagging risks and providing input into changes understanding the customer journey
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely solutions

    Catalogue and context execution

    • Quality check website execution of catalogue and refer issues to rectify.
    • Communicate with the Merchandise teams to ensure full, on-time and enriched content.
    • Communicate with the photography studio / online commerce / buying with reference to display of visuals.
    • Manage content plan for the website and ensure on-time execution on visual and written content

    Reporting and Analytics

    • Continuously analyse customer behaviour and engagement patterns to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates
    • Implement conversion rate optimisation techniques to enhance website performance
    • Monitor website traffic, customer behavior, and other relevant metrics using analytics and reporting tools to assess performance and make data-driven website decisions and/or changes.
    • Monthly reporting on agreed KPI’s
    • Platform reporting on agreed KPI’s
    • Ensure Google Tracking is working optimal and facilitate changes where applicable

    Assist with Digital budget

    • Control, capture and record keeping of the digital budget.
    • This includes filing of copies and following up on any payment queries.
    • Responsible for monthly accruals and budget updates

    Management

    • People Management

    • Stakeholder Management

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Essential

    • A minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant marketing experience gained in a marketing and digital environment.
    • Understanding of integration across digital channels (Web, App, USSD, Social Media Channels, Google, Facebook)
    • A working knowledge of the latest MS packages (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook) is an important requirement
    • A working knowledge of Google Analytics is a crucial requirement.
    • A working knowledge of Digital Media Mix and reporting metric is a crucial requirement
    • Experience in web & mobile design
    • Experience in working with data and analytics
    • Experience in UX, SEO and web based CMS

    Preferred

    • Exposure to IT Service Management practices
    • Experience gained in a Retail environment
    • A working knowledge of HTML and CSS
    • Knowledge of job ticketing system
    • Knowledge of website product uploads

    JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

    KNOWLEDGE required:

    • Knowledge of digital channels i.e. web, digital media, social media, USSD and App’s
    • Knowledge of Microsoft applications including advanced Excel competency or Google Suite
    • Knowledge of digital industry, trends, tools and techniques and the integration thereof
    • Know best practice in digital to advise and influence decision-makers about the digital initiatives, priorities and opportunities.
    • Specifically around UX ,SEO and Web based CMS
    • Knowledge of digital reporting and various analytical tools
    • Comprehensive working knowledge of the Shopify platform

    SKILLS required:

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, people management, team management & leadership skills

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Essential:

    • A Degree in Digital Marketing/Marketing or an equivalent qualification
    • Google Accredited Courses

    Preferred:

    • A qualification in information systems, web and mobile design or development would be advantageous.
