Job Description
Some of the Key Activities & Responsibilities which can be expected:
(By no means an exhaustive list)
- Manage system bug tickets
- Be able to work with the Design and Content Teams in guiding the direction of WordPress websites optimisation and development (new & existing)
- Monthly WordPress and Plugin update management and quality assurance testing and implementation
- Remain flexible and adaptable to address high priority bugs or other issues as they arise
- Analyze system specifications
- Conduct post-implementation testing
- Help general tech troubleshoot issues
- Managing, supervising and providing technical advice on telecommunications systems
- Receiving feedback, identifying users’ needs and requirements and mobilizing existing technology to meet their criteria
- Program features, design networks and systems and allocate resources as necessary
- Oversee and coordinate telecommunications activities
- Cooperate with management to develop staff and improve their skills
- Training staff on basic troubleshooting
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS and Javascript & PHP (basic knowledge)
- A strong grasp and understanding of the WordPress theme structure, template hierarchy, template tags, custom post meta.
- jQuery and JavaScript knowledge
- Well-versed in WordPress theme development and customisation
- Experience with the WooCommerce ecosystem.
- WordPress Website Security, Speed optimisation, and maintenance
- Knowledge and experience with on-page SEO, markup and tagging
- Experience with Google suite (Search console, Maps, Analytics)
- Hands-on experience with all telecommunications systems including peripheral equipment (e.g.computer networks, optical fibre, on-site controllers, data modems, terminals, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and deadline-driven
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent health and reliable
A minimum of Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification (advantageous but not essential).

Additional Information
This position’s gross remuneration package will be - R15,000 - R18,000 (subject to the experience and skills you bring to the table).
