• The successful candidate will be placed in the Finance department within Spur Corporation at Century City, Cape Town office and will have an opportunity to acquire all round work experience by fulfilling various duties and responsibilities relevant to the department.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12/ Matric
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar
• Must be a South African Citizen
• Must be between the ages 18 and 35
• Must reside in the Western Cape, Cape Town
• Currently unemployed
• Signed letter from the institution confirming workplace experience is required to complete qualification
• Commit to the programme for the full 6 months
• Have not been previously enrolled in a Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Programme

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Generate Operational expense transactions for review on a monthly basis
• Receiving and validating documentary proof of expenses (cash and credit card claims)
• Assist with capturing of local and International operational expenses
• Assist with processing of all journal entries and requests - travel, credit cards and mobile phones and cash
• Assist with the preparation of the franchise fee declarations
• Carry out all work-related duties and responsibilities assigned and ad hoc requests.
• Perform all assigned work tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Support team members to achieve your learning objectives.

Skills:

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Proactive in the role with a keen attention to detail
