Our Company Background
Directel was founded in 2001 and initially focussed on the international calling card market and the satellite broadband industry. Directel received its VANS license in 2006 and in May 2009 this license was converted into the individual ECS and ECNS licenses that it now holds today.
In 2011 Directel was taken under new ownership and control. The current board of directors, which consists of 4 members, have a combined experience of more than 60 years as directors of major companies in Southern Africa and over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications sector.
