    SC Senior Warehouse Controller

    Job Description:

    We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Senior Warehouse Controller to join our Platinum family. This is a key role within the team where your duties will include but not limited to:

    • Adhering to stores operating procedures, to achieve efficiency in the store under the guidance of the Supply Chain Officer/Supply Chain Supervisor. E.g.  scheduling, receiving, storage, issuing and Materials Handling processes.
    • Verifying quality, condition, and correctness of measure of all material received directly from suppliers and from another store.
    • Returning materials where necessary.
    • Ensuring effective and accurate issuing of material from stock – including picking, packing, staging and notification of customers.
    • Issuing fuel and capture consumption information accurately.
    • Applying correct procedures for issuing of emergency and after-hours orders.
    • Undertaking good housekeeping practices at the stores
    • Keeping records accurately, to ensure integrity of administration systems at the stores

    This role is in the Supply Chain Department at a band 8 level role reporting to the Site Supply Chain Supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Materials Handling Equipment license – Forklift Driver

    Experience

    • 6+ months experience in warehousing within a materials management environment,
    • Working knowledge on SAP Materials Management in a supply chain environment

    • Valid South African Driver’s license with own transport

    Regional Supply Chain Performance Advisor

    Job Description:

    Please note that this is a 6-month fixed term contract role.

    • Provide advisory reporting and analytics support for the Regional Supply Chain team, and provide support on continuous improvement initiatives .

    Key responsibilities:

    Safety, Health & Environment

    • Identify ways to support specific safety, health & sustainability opportunities and risks and ensure transactional logistics activities complies with all Safety, Health & Environmental requirements.
    • Ensure the safe operation of the Physical Supply Chain environment, performing regular risk assessments, monitoring safety performance, and addressing any risks/issues immediately

    Job Description:

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Coordinates the training needs analysis, planning, assessment, moderation and compilation of training reports.
    • Coordinates the implementation of the Learning Strategy within the operation.

    Operational Risk Advisor

    Job Description:

    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Plan, implement and coordinate the implementation of ORM with specific focus on Baseline and Issue-based risk management activities.
    • Oversee the application of the ORM four layers of risk management at the operation: Baseline risk management, Issue-based risk management, Task risk management, and Continuous risk management
    • Co-ordinate the ORM implementation and execution against the integrated risk management framework operational risk management processes, systems, standards and procedures.
    • Implement and maintain functioning of operational risk management IT Platform.

    • Courses in management systems (9001, 14001, 18001),risk qualification, audit qualification advantageous

    Experience, Knowledge and Skills

    • Minimum of 5 years relevant operational mining, processing, and engineering related experience
    • Detailed understanding of the Platinum value chain and operational trends and risks.
    • An understanding of the operational aspects associated with mining and mineral processing operations
    • Demonstrated understanding of risk management within a technical environment
    • Knowledge and experience with risk assessment techniques such as WRAC, Bowtie Analysis, HAZOP/HAZAN and other industry recognised techniques and tools.
    • Track record of interfacing with and influencing colleagues and coordinating disciplines relevant to risk management.
    • Ability to use operational risk management system for information management and data analysis (e.g.: Enablon, Bowtie XP, Isometrix, CURA, IHS, etc.)

    Additional information:

    • Ability to speak additional languages is desirable.

    Job Description:

    Support operational MRP teams to Implement the demand forecast and plan, over defined planning horizons, inventory management strategy & tactics, based on established tools and models, to deliver optimal inventory levels that meet service level target

    • Implement inventory optimization initiatives to minimize wastage at the operations to minimize Anglo American’s carbon footprint
    • Implement network optimization opportunities to guide logistics providers in order to reduce transportation frequency which also contributes to the positive impact on the environment

    Commercial Value Delivery 

    • Implement working capital optimization opportunities and identify and ensure the execution of cost reduction initiatives that positively impacts cost to serve
    • Provide input and guidance to sourcing and purchasing teams on optimal fulfilment strategies for commodity classes i.e., central v de-centralise, VMI, VOI, etc
    • Support a culture of planning and fulfilment within areas such as purchasing, sourcing and operations
    • Sign off forecasting and operational inputs for purchasing plans
    • Manage, monitor and release relevant requisitions required to fulfil demand placed against the warehouse
    • Support the roll-out of the Anglo American Operating Model and cross-site best practice sharing, to leverage tangible working capital benefits

    Relationship Management

    • Maintain stakeholder relationships within the Supply Chain, key suppliers and internal end-users (maintenance & production teams) to enable effective planning and fulfilment of demand
