    Forecourt Supervisor (Lydenburg)

    Description

    • To ensure all administrative processes are updated and followed as per requirements

    Requirements

    MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED

    • Grade 12
    • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • 2 years relevant forecourt experience
    • Management and/or Team Lead experience will be an advantage

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Effective management of stock levels through daily monitoring of stock levels at kiosk and forecourt
    • Oversee regular stock-taking, cycle counting and stock rotation
    • Ensure placement of stock in correct shelves/bins and
    • Manage and control stock expiration register and report on stock expiration dates and best before dates
    • Ensure achievement of sales targets set for kiosk and forecourt in accordance with marketing plans and budgets 
    • Manage and report on the budget vs actual expenses
    • Ensure customer service
    • Build and maintain sound customer relations with internal and external clients, grow customer base and ensure that client queries and complaints are resolved timeously
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements in line with company policy and legislative requirements
    • Manage employee key performance areas, monitor performance standards, identify training and development requirements, and ensure fair disciplinary action to address deviations

    Learnership (x18) (Vastfontein farm)

    Description

    • AFGRI Farmer Development (AFD) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the 2025/26 Learnership Programme.
    • The successful candidates will be placed at our Vasfontein Farm in Pretoria North.
    • This is a twelve (12) month Learnership Programme aimed at facilitating the training of successful learners in Farming with Crops and Animals.
    • Whilst the programme is not exclusively limited to individuals from previously disadvantaged communities, AFGRI Farmer Development encourages historically disadvantaged individuals to apply.
    • Successful candidates shall undergo on-the-job and off-the-job training at our training farm.  The Learners will enter into a contract with AFD and will be placed at our Vastfontein Training Farm in Pretoria North for the duration of the learnership.
    • Learners will have an opportunity to gain all-round work experience by fulfilling various duties and responsibilities aligned with the programme on the farm. They will work with a cross-functional team to complete the programme and contribute to project work in support of the teams.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be a South African citizen.
    • Must have a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
    • Preference will be given to women and people with disability.
    • Must be unemployed.

    DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME

    • Successful candidates will enter into a twelve (12) month fixed-term contract with AFGRI Farmer Development and will be placed at our Vasfontein Farm.

    Parts Manager (Springbok)

    Description

    • Manage parts operations within the dealership to provide customer satisfaction while maximizing profit through parts sales, as well as inventory and expense control

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

    • Grade 12

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE            

    • 5 years related experience of which two years must be in a supervisory capacity
    • John Deere parts experience will be an advantage

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS         

    • Oversee stocktaking and stock counting
    • Manage stock returns and claims
    • Order parts and AMS stock
    • Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system
    • Manage and followup warranty claims

    • Monitor monthly income and expenses, report any deviations and implement corrective measures where applicable

    • Implement a risk management plan for the Parts Department
    • Ensure compliance with AFGRI’s Health and Safety Policy and other legislative requirements.

    Boiler Operator (Isando)

    Description

    • Responsible for operating the boiler effectively and safely to optimise steam production.  

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

    • Grade 10 & Boiler certificate

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 3 years experience
    • 1 year experience in animal feed manufacturing environment will be an advantage

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Effective and SAFE operating of the boiler as per steps in Boiler operating manual, checklists, SOPs
    • Complete pre-shift inspection on boiler
    • Complete pressure readings on log sheets
    • Conduct quality control water test
    • Comply with all requirements for Occupational Health and Safety
    • Ensure that the work area and equipment are clean at all times 

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES

    • Sound operating knowledge of boilers
