    Blasting Engineering Internships

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Minimum qualification National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering,
    • Blasting Engineering, or a related field.
    • Must pass Afrimat Medical fitness certification
    • Valid SA ID
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Must be effective in using MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) as a minimum

    Competencies (not limited to):

    • Basic understanding of blasting theory, mining operations, and relevant legislation (MHSA).
    • Strong interest in explosives engineering, rock fragmentation, and mining operations
    • Previous exposure to mining or blasting operations
    • Understanding of blasting software (Blastmap, ViewShot) will be an advantage
    • Needs to have a valid DMRE blasting ticket
    • Good understanding of Shocktube detonators, Electronics detonators, and electronic
    • blasting equipment
    • Basic understanding of blasting theory, mining operations, and relevant legislation (MHSA)
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Adaptable to change
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
    • Must be analytical and a problem solver
    • Must be a fast learner
    • This is a remote site-based position, with limited office access
    • The candidate must be able to travel to various sites occasionally

    Technical Sales Representative (Mbombela)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Concrete technology qualification (Preferably)
    • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or degree)
    • 2 to 5 years’ experience in quarrying/ ready-mix or similar environments
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

    Sales & Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for aggregates and ready-mix concrete
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets in line with business strategy.
    • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities using CRM systems.
    • Develop and implement area plans to grow market share.

    Technical Support & Product Knowledge:

    • Provide clients with technical advice on the use and application of aggregates and ready-mix products.
    • Liaise with technical and production teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and standards.
    • Conduct site visits and support customers with product trials, troubleshooting, and quality control.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Develop long-term relationships with key customers, contractors, engineers, and consultants.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or complaints effectively.
    • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations.

    Market Intelligence & Reporting:

    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour.
    • Provide timely reports on sales activity, customer feedback, and market insights.
    • Recommend strategies for improving market penetration and customer retention

    ADT- RDT – Articulated and Rigid Dump Truck – Operators (Lichtenburg)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Valid ADT and RDT operator’s license
    • 4 years’ experience as ADT and RDT Operator.
    • General mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
    • Must pass both medical and dover tests
    • Must be able to work shifts and overtime when required

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Safely Operate an ADT and RDT machine to load / move materials as instructed.
    • Perform required inspection and basic maintenance of ADT and RDT to ensure safe operating condition of the trucks
    • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
    • Maintain accurate records of both ADT and RDT activities and report any safety concerns or equipment issues
    • Prepare accesses, work areas and surfaces
    • Remain vigilant to avoid potential safety hazards when operating the machines
    • Keep the machines clean and fill up with fuel and grease as required.
    • General work on site when required (none operating)
