    Health & Safety Learnership – P1/P2 (Lephalale)

    Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

    • Studying towards a Health & Safety related qualification
    • Willing to learn and be trained
    • Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Assist with Safety Inductions and toolbox talks
    • Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislations
    • Ensure compliance with the NEM Act
    • Learn how to identify hazards and risks in the workplace
    • To be part of the drafting and review Committee for COP’S
    • Submit Safety documents to be loaded on the SHEQ system
    • Assist with drafting Legal Appointments
    • Assist with accident and incident investigations
    • To be part of the Health and Safety committee meetings

    Regional Environmental Officer (Centurion)

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • National Diploma/ Degree in Environmental Management, Science or other relevant qualifications
    • 3 + years of relevant working experience in a similar role
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Willing to travel to different sites mainly within Gauteng
    • Local exposure and regional knowledge will be an advantage
    • The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Own transport

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Ensure all operations comply with national, provincial, and local environment legislation (e.g. NEMA,MPRDA,NWA,NEM:WA)
    • Engage with internal stakeholders (Site Managers, SHEQ teams, Engineers) and external stakeholders (regulators, local communities, NGOs)
    • Support public participation processes and respond to environmental concerns raised by communities or authorities
    • Manage and ensure adherence to Environmental Authorisations (EAs), Water Use
    • Licences (WULs), Waste Management Licences (WMLs), and other permits
    • Oversee the implementation of environmental monitoring programs (e.g., air quality, water quality, biodiversity, noise, dust, etc.).
    • Analyse and report on environmental performance indicators and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are submitted as required
    • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for compliance verification
    • Implement and maintain ISO 14001 or other Environmental Management Systems across operations
    • Develop, review, and update Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and Rehabilitation Plans
    • Monitor and evaluate progressive rehabilitation activities in line with approved closure plans
    • Support the development and review of closure cost estimates and ensure financial provisioning aligns with regulations
    • Develop and deliver environmental training programs to staff and contractors
    • Contribute to corporate sustainability and ESG reporting, including metrics on carbon emissions, water use, waste, and biodiversity
    • Support initiatives for climate change adaptation, energy efficiency, and resource conservation
    • Participate and contribute actively in the Afrimat SHE network

    Fitter (Marble Hall)

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • Valid Fitter / Fitter and Turner Trade Certificate
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Experience: 3 years’ experience as Fitter
    • Mining experience will be an added advantage
    • Knowledge of cone crushers, jaw crushers and screens
    • Excellent time management skills and team worker
    • Willing to work independently, teamwork and under pressure
    • Willing to work overtime when required
    • First preference will be given to Ephraim Mogale Municipality candidates and surrounding areas

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Liaise with Engineering Supervisor daily to discuss maintenance or engineering breakdowns in the plant and submit job cards
    • Perform fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment
    • Must have a broad knowledge of Conveyer Belts, Gearboxes, Bearings, Pumps, Crushers and Screens
    • Perform daily plant running inspections and greasing
    • Monitor oil pressure, oil temperature and hydraulic pressure on cone crushers throughout the day
    • Perform daily bearing temperature inspections
    • Perform monthly oil sampling on gearboxes and crushers
    • Perform monthly inspections on lifting equipment and report deviations to Maintenance Foreman
    • Ensure sufficient lubrication on crushers, gearboxes and feeder
    • Executing daily planned task maintenance which includes skirting replacement, idler changes, belt scrappers adjustments, conveyor belt alignment and tension are done efficiently as per maintenance schedules
    • Installation of water dust suppression system for the plant
    • Maintenance of the water system for the ablution facilities, workshop, weighbridge and admin block
    • Housekeeping, safety standards and leadership
    • Supervision of fitter aid and assistant
    • Supervision of Fitter Aide or Assistant, mentor and train students

    Mechanical Engineering Learner (Centurion)

    Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

    • Studying towards a Mechanical Engineering qualification
    • Willing to learn and be trained
    • Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge

    • The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Soild knowledge to read and interpret engineering drawings

    Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

    • Complete the vacation work program
    • Assist with multiple maintenance projects
    • Assist with improving maintenance and availability of the plant
    • Conducting various tests on products, analyse the results and identify areas for improvement
    • Conduct safety inspections in the plant and around the site
    • Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives
    • Assist with general maintenance on the plant
