Health & Safety Learnership – P1/P2 (Lephalale) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

• Studying towards a Health & Safety related qualification
• Willing to learn and be trained
• Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Assist with Safety Inductions and toolbox talks
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislations
• Ensure compliance with the NEM Act
• Learn how to identify hazards and risks in the workplace
• To be part of the drafting and review Committee for COP’S
• Submit Safety documents to be loaded on the SHEQ system
• Assist with drafting Legal Appointments
• Assist with accident and incident investigations
• To be part of the Health and Safety committee meetings
• Learn how to conduct internal and external audits
• Assist employees with occupational health and safety matters
• Assist the Safety Officer with visual inspections
• To report near misses, incidents and accidents
