    Rim Plant Serviceman

    Qualification and Skills:

    • Grade 12 (requirement)
    • Experience: Prior experience in rim repair, automotive paintwork, or a related field is (preferred)
    • Proficiency in forklift operation, including safe loading and unloading of materials ( preferred)
    • Technical Skills: Knowledge of paint mixing, application, and rim repair techniques. Familiarity with tools such as grinders, polishers, and spray guns
    • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise work and deliver high-quality results
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to assess rim damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
    • Physical Stamina: Comfortable withstanding for extended periods and handling heavy equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect and assess vehicle rims for damage, including curb rash, bends, corrosion, and cracks.
    • Clean, sand, and prepare rims for repair and painting processes.
    • Perform sanding, filling, polishing, and refinishing work to ensure smooth surfaces.
    • Match paint colours and apply finishes using spray equipment and other tools.
    • Operate equipment such as sandblasters, grinders, and polishers with safety and precision.
    • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure the finished product meets company standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all health and safety protocols.

    Technical Planner

    The Candidate

    • The Technical Supervisor / Planner provides technical and safety support to site personnel and where necessary, liaise with senior personnel within the client companies.
    • The Technical Supervisor / Planner will be resourceful, flexible to a changing business environment and its demands and adapt quickly to new circumstances.
    • The Technical Supervisor / Planner must be able to maintain a high level of participation in the safe running of on-site operation

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 National Certificate
    • 4 years or more of Off the Road (OTR) earthmoving experience

    Legal Counsel SAF Retail & Otraco - JHB

    Responsibilities:

    • Duties involve providing general (rather than specialist) legal services and advice in respect of general business issues but will include amongst others legal compliance;
    • Acting as a business partner by applying combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention;
    • Drafting, reviewing and supporting negotiation of business agreements and transactions such as (but not limited to) customer sales contracts, strategic alliance agreements, public tenders, franchise agreements, distribution agreements, software developments and licensing agreements;
    • Providing hands on legal advice on regulatory, privacy, competition and advertising/promotional matters - in conjunction with the regulatory experts in the Bridgestone legal team;
    • Proactively participate in global initiatives and in global practice groups;
    • Leading dispute resolution and litigation within the retail side of the business;
    • Managing outside counsel, when brought in to assist, along with relevant budget and legal spend;
    • Managing the intellectual property portfolio of the franchise business (renewals and new trademark registrations) with the assistance of external counsel, which will involve managing any litigation in protection of the intellectual property;
    • Driving legal and compliance projects (including trainings) in strict coordination with and following the guidance of the Lead Counsel & Compliance to improve efficiency and business responsibility, including using influencing skills to achieve buy-in from all levels of the business; and
    • Advising the business on all legal matters amongst others listed below  and drive solutions:

    Requirements:

    • LLB or B com Law;

    Site Supervisor - Kathu

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 National Certificate
    • A valid and appropriate light vehicle driver’s licence (South African Code 08) Good communication skills and customer service skills
    • Ability to work for extended hours and physically fit
    • Sound understanding of the working mechanism of the tools or the machinery they are handling

    Duties

    • The following is a general list of tasks that a Site Supervisor is required to perform. The Company may add to or vary these duties from time to time provided the variation is reasonable having regard to the Employee’s skills, competence and training.
    • Ensure all personal comply with Otraco Management System (OMS) policies procedures and instructions,
    • Ensure all personal comply with client policies, procedures and instructions.
    • Ensure that the contracted “scope of work” is performed to a high quality of service,
    • Prioritise and direct personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe and cost effective manner,
    • Ensure that corrective action requests from auditors are carried out.
    • Perform administrative tasks such as roster management, leave records, overtime sheets and submit to Head Office as required.
    • Ensure that all data critical to Otraco providing a quality service to the client is accurately recorded and checked for errors,
    • Ensure that quality documents are maintained, filed and archived according to OMS procedures,
    • Ensure that tyre and rim data is accurately captured into the Otracom tyre management database.
    • Ensure that critical electronic data is backed up according to OMS procedures,
    • Ensure that all equipment and stock is accounted for by performing regular audits.
    • Monitor and order stock in order to maintain the specified levels,
    • Verify that all stock and equipment ordered is correctly supplied in terms of quantities and specifications,
    • Ensure that a system for maintaining and calibrating equipment is maintained according to OMS procedures,
    • Perform Inspections and determine if components should remain in service, be scrapped or be repaired,
    • Ensure tyre operating pressures are maintained and documented in accordance with site specifications,
    • Ensure that hygiene standards are maintained in workshop and office facilities,
    • Perform tyre fitter tasks if required, or any other duties allocated.
    • Present himself in a condition fit to perform his duties.
    • Perform assessments of subordinates to analyse competence / gaps in training (i.e. Planned Task Observation).
    • Safety

    Site Supervisors are required to:

    • Ensure that all personnel are properly inducted into the workplace,
    • Ensure that all personnel have valid licences, medicals, inductions and tickets.
    • Ensure that all personnel work safely and follow Occupational Health and Safety Procedures,
    • Ensure that all personnel comply with site “lock out” / “tag out” procedures,
    • Investigate hazards, unsafe work conditions and equipment reported and take action to eliminate or reduce the risk to acceptable levels,
    • Investigate and report all incidents and injuries according to procedures,
    • Assist and co-operate with the site safety representative to resolve safety issues identified.
    • Ensure compliance with all instructions documented in the OMS Safety Plan,
    • Ensure that all personnel use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment according to procedures,
    • Ensure that all personnel perform vehicle Pre-start checks according to procedures.
    • Promote workplace safety by holding regular meetings and inspections in order to improve safety in the workplace and document accordingly,
    • Ensure incident notices and other safety information is conveyed to all personnel,
    • Perform Job Hazard Analysis and take control actions to reduce the risk of Injury or damage to equipment,
    • Maintain and review Safe Work Procedures and ensure they are understood and used by all personnel,
    • Comply with site emergency evacuation procedures.

    Office Administrator - Emalahleni

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

    • Computer literacy and reasonable typing skills with courses completed in Excel, Word and Power Point.
    • Grade 12 National Certificate

    Preferred:

    • Several years’ experience of general office duties in a mine office.

    Duties

    • Comply with Otraco Management System (OMS) policies, procedures and instructions
    • Comply with client policies, procedures and instructions
    • Ensure that all financial transactional documents (Eg. Orders, Invoices, ITD’s…..) are completed and files
    • Maintain a high quality of service to the client
    • Answer the telephone, take and pass on messages to site personnel
    • Operate and maintain office equipment such as fax, photocopier and shredder
    • Attend to all incoming and outgoing mail as appropriate
    • Attend to maintenance of the office (Eg. Repairs, kitchen supplies, cleaners)
    • Order stationery and printer consumables as required
    • Provide secretarial assistance such as typing, filing, photocopying, collating, binding, archiving and other clerical assistance as required
    • Enter tyre and rim data accurately into the Otracom tyre management database
    • Maintain a variety of electronic or manual registers as required
    • Collate, check and process time sheets
    • Attend to banking and petty cash reconciliations
    • Make travel arrangements and bookings for site personnel as required

    Safety

    Site Office Administrators are required to:

    • Work safely and follow Occupational Health and Safety Procedures
    • Report hazards, unsafe work conditions and equipment
    • Immediately report incidents and injuries to the supervisor / manager
    • Comply with applicable instructions documented in the OMS Safety Plan
    • Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment according to procedures
