    Marketing Management Graduate

    About the Role

    • We are looking for an exceptional Marketing Management Graduate to join our dynamic team.
    • This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a top-performing graduate to work closely with two of South Africa’s most loved brands, Apple and iStore, while being personally mentored by the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of iStore South Africa.
    • Over the course of 12 months, you will gain intimate exposure to business and marketing strategy, while learning how to deliver high-impact projects and initiatives across the organisation.
    • This role is designed for someone who is passionate about marketing, brand management, and strategic communication and who wants to accelerate their learning in a fast-paced, world-class business environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    In this immersive role, you will:

    • Work closely with the Apple & iStore brands, gaining first-hand experience in premium brand management.
    • Shadow and support the CCO of iStore South Africa for 12 months, assisting across a wide range of strategic and operational initiatives.
    • Gain deep insights into business strategy, marketing strategy, and project execution.
    • Develop practical skills in:
    • Presentation and storytelling for impact
    • Data visualisation and insights communication
    • Marketing and campaign messaging
    • Campaign and media strategy
    • Collaborate on a project basis with the extended marketing team, gaining 360° exposure to:
    • Trade Marketing
    • Digital Marketing
    • Social Media Marketing
    • Above-the-Line Marketing
    • Act as an extended arm of the CCO, supporting key initiatives and ensuring smooth execution.

    This is a hands-on, high-exposure role that will accelerate your career not only within Core Group, but in any future marketing leadership path.

    Requirements

    We’re looking for a standout individual who meets the following criteria:

    • BCom or equivalent degree in Marketing Management, completed within the last 3 years.
    • Graduated from a top South African university (e.g. UCT, Wits, Stellenbosch, UP, Rhodes, VEGA).
    • Academic excellence,  top of your class, with a proven record of achievement.
    • Golden Key Society membership or other academic recognition.
    • Demonstrated leadership or community involvement (e.g. class representative, student council, marketing competitions, societies).
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interest in marketing strategy, brand development, and digital communication.
    • Ambitious, curious, and eager to grow into a future Marketing Manager.

    • Our iStore Sales Consultant is responsible to maximise the sales opportunity in the iStore.

    Business Analyst

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment and enjoys translating business needs into actionable insights.
    • You’ll work closely with various stakeholders to support strategic decision-making, enhance reporting capabilities, and optimise processes through data analysis and automation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Data and reporting integrity; continuous evaluation of data sources, stored data sets and business reports to support decision making. Collate, assess and analyse data for accuracy and relevance. Define relationships between different data sets and sources. Identify shortcomings in existing data sources and define the requirements for new data sets to address the shortcomings.
    • Operational and Performance reporting; Build out a comprehensive set of reports and/or dashboards that represent the status of the business across all its functions.
      Pre-empt any new reporting requirements based on future operations or business initiatives.
      Prepare and present improvements, updates and new insights to support better decision making.
    • Specific business requirements include, but are not limited to
    • Purchasing and cost price analysis
    • Inventory metrics and process throughput
    • OPEX analysis
    • Repairs and BOM analysis
    • Sales pricing and margin analysis
    • Competitor pricing and market trend analysis
    • Maintenance of internal pricing tools
    • Analysis to support promotional campaigns
    • Insights and business decision support; provide weekly updates on all key metrics and suggest updates and changes to improve efficiencies and improve business performance.
    • Provide input into continuous improvement initiatives; Continuously assess all operations and performance reporting against industry and business best practices.
      Identify new reporting requirements based on new insight or future business requirements.
      Review all data sets and sources for relevance and identify areas of improvements. Evaluate and improve business processes through analysis, automation, and best practice recommendations.
    • Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
    • Design and maintain dashboards and analytics solutions that enable self-service and data-driven decisions.
    • Extract and analyse data using SQL, identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 4–6 years’ relevant experience in business analysis, business intelligence, data analytics or a similar field.
    • Strong SQL skills (MS SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL).
    • Advanced Power BI capabilities (including DAX, Power Query, custom visuals).
    • Proficiency in Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, VBA).
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or similar data integration tools is beneficial.
    • Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and presenting insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics or a related field (Honours preferred).
    • CBAP or similar certification is advantageous.
