    Site Clerk (North West)

    Description
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Site Administration Office

    • Accurate completion of requisitions for all purchases
    • Correct contract allocations on requisitions
    • Ensure proper approvals are obtained for all purchases
    • Maintain site costing documentation

    Safety and training Administration

    • Ensure that back up of the data base is available
    • Preventing loss/damage of property in the office
    • Ensuring proper housekeeping in the specific Site Office

    Personal Administration

    • Liaising between the site administrator and the site/contract manager, as well as the wage office and/or the HR department
    • Compiling of the monthly HR report figures and forwarding such figures/info to the Site Administrator

    Wage Administration

    • Controlling, compiling and the forwarding of the time book document, as  required by wages monthly
    • Registering and handling of all wage queries

    Communication

    • Minute information discuss at the monthly communication meeting
    • Act as the link between employees and Site Administrator/management at the site

    Requirements
    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Grade 12
    • Certificate in finance /HR Administration

    EXPERIENCE

    • 1 year previous Administration experience

    Engineering Foreman (Mpumalanga)

    Description
    PURPOSE

    • The role is responsible for maintenance and repairs of all machinery and related Processing Plant equipment’s.

    Requirements

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Safety, Health and Environment

    • Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment.
    • Maintain FAMP policies, Standards and procedure requirements.
    • Preparation and execution of scheduled routine maintenance, in conjunction with production planning.
    • Champions the implementation of proactive maintenance and the elimination of reactive maintenance by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
    • To support operations by providing effective equipment maintenance ensuring equipment reliability and availability.

    Parts and inventory management.

    • Control maintenance costs effectively and prevent as far as possible over expenditure.

    Coordination

    • Issuing of work schedules and job cards.
    • Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy and zero harm frame-work
    • Develop, review and agree the weekly maintenance plan with the Maintenance and Process team. Ensures safe execution.
    • Reduce reaction times to breakdowns (MTTR) and increase mean time between failures (MTBF) through the effective implementation of maintenance best practices, systems and procedures.
    • Oversee third party contractor maintenance and compliance.
    • Maintains an organised, clean and safe work area.
    • Evaluates condition monitoring status.

    Administration

    • Ensures maintenance logs and work order documentation on equipment inspection and repairs are maintained to required standard
    • Prepares month end performance report for engineer
    • Generates cost report to site manager/engineer.
    • Ensures all break downs are appropriately recorded by subordinates.

    Managing the team

    • Select and appoint competent and passionate people.
    • Supervision, training and development of maintenance subordinates.
    • Maintain open channel communication with subordinates through daily meetings for two-way feedback.
    • Monitor performance & maintain discipline.
    • Serve as a mentor to yearly intake of work integrated learning students.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • N3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering subjects
    • Trade Test MQA/MERSETA preferred
    • Supervisory Course (Advantageous)

    EXPERIENCE

    • Learnership/Apprentice in Mining/construction/transport/plant or manufacturing2 years
    • Artisan 3-5 years in Mining/plant or manufacturing
    • 3 Years management experience
    • Experience on Processing plant

    SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Good verbal and written communications.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving ability.
    • Demonstrated firm supervisory skills
    • Computer literacy: Excel Basic; Pragma Onkey basic.
    • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering safe practice.
    • Strong technical skills and knowledge of best practices in maintenance procedures and protocols.
