    Rock Engineer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring compliance to Rock Engineering Governance.
    • Recommending new appropriate rock mechanic technologies, systems and practices by investigating and evaluating new technology, systems and practices and monitoring and reporting on feasibility.
    • Ensuring safe and efficient operational achievements by implementing Health & Safety targets pertaining to strata control.
    • Providing training and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are conversant in all aspects of strata control.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective communication and network channels by conducting and attending weekly meetings with the various stakeholders.
    • Investigating and managing the reported Fall of Ground incidents and accidents.
    • Implementing and maintaining of the Health and Safety Management System and ensure compliance with the HSE Policies and Procedures.

     Minimum Qualifications:

    • A relevant degree.
    • Chamber of Mines Rock Mechanics Certificate in Coal / Hard Rock.
    • Opencast blasting certificate will be advantageous.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience at Strata Control Officer level.

    Trade Accountant - JHB

    PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute the month end trade accounting close per profit center based on International Financial Reporting Standards “IFRS”.
    • Prepare detailed monthly IFRS P/L and working capital reporting.
    • Review and reconcile department management reporting.
    • Support regional offices with accounting challenges during period close.
    • Coordinate the department`s external audit, internal audit and financial governance processes.
    • Maintaining professional and technical accounting, finance and controls knowledge.
    • Remedy processes leading to prior month P/L reconciliation breaks.
    • Support the front and middle office including corporate teams with the preparation of ad-hoc departmental financial reports and analysis.
    • Conclude on and document the IFRS accounting treatment for new structured deals in advance of execution.
    • Automate manual journal entries to ensure straight through processing to the general ledger
    • Review and control the calibration of system generated journal entries.
    • In collaboration with other trade accounting teams, identify and implement accounting best practice including processes and internal controls.
    • Review and reconcile department SG & A / overhead reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Chartered Accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance.

    WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least 1 years` post articles experience in a similar role.
    • Background in Accounting
    • Working knowledge of ERP’s, especially SAP would be beneficial.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel
    • Adaptable, dynamic, organized, self-starter, good communicator.
    • Interacts well within a team and actively manage expectations.
    • Advanced English language ability, both written and spoken.

    Creative Communications Officer - JHB

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Assist in developing and executing on projects maintaining the visual direction of the brand and all projects, ensuring creative concepts are in alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
    • Support the development and maintenance of brand guidelines ensuring consistency in visual identity across all creative outputs, helping to develop and update brand guidelines as needed.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors by working closely with Corporate Affairs and other corporate functions to ensure creative outputs meet business objectives and timelines.
    • Support the development of multimedia content, assisting with the creation of video content, animations, or interactive media for internal and external communication purposes.
    • Manage creative projects from concept to completion ensuring ownership of various projects
    • Monitor and report on project progress by tracking the progress of own creative projects, provide regular updates to the Senior Creative Communications Officer.
    • Provide creative input and feedback to junior team members.
    • Actively participate in brainstorming meetings, bringing fresh ideas to the table and contributing to the creative process.
    • Maintain a consistent visual language across all platforms.
    • Ensure that digital assets and content are accessible to all audiences adhering to relevant accessibility standards.
    • Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, applying them where appropriate to enhance the company’s creative outputs.

    Experience

    • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience, with five or more years as a mid-level creative in an agency or corporate environment.
    • Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from brainstorming and developing ideas for projects, and/or campaigns, to final delivery within agreed deadlines.
    • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels, digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print.
    • Proven ability to develop successful concepts.
    • Proficiency in managing time spend on projects, and self-discipline to get the job done.
