    UX/UI designer (Cape Town)

    Job Description

    • You're a UX designer that weaves user-friendly interfaces into seamless digital experiences that enthral users and inspire delight, adding to the fabric of innovation.

    About you and the key skills we’re looking for.

    • As a UX designer, you should not only possess a diverse skill set but also a combination of education and practical experience.
    • Whilst a tertiary qualification is highly desirable, what is more important is a qualification that has equipped you with a solid foundation in user-centred design principles and research methodologies.
    • You should have a deep understanding of various design tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or InVision, which enables you to create wireframes, prototypes, and visually captivating mock-ups.
    • Your expertise extends to information architecture, where you excel in organising and structuring complex information to create intuitive navigation systems.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Your main responsibilities will encompass user research, persona development, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping, user testing, interaction design, visual design, usability and accessibility considerations, collaboration with various stakeholders, and iterative improvements based on feedback.

    Faculty Assistant Contractor

    Job Description

    • IQbusiness is seeking to employ a Faculty Assistant on an initial 3-month contract (as probation; optioned for extension) to collaborate with an international client from our offices in Welgemoed, Cape Town Northern Suburbs. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site; 2 days WFH).

    About this role

    • Our client is a leading international business school.
    • The Faculty Assistants support our client's Faculty members for all administrative duties, enabling them to concentrate on their teaching and research activities.
    • In this role, you will assist 3 to 4 Faculty
    • Members with their agenda, teaching material, expenses and much more.

    Key activities & accountabilities

    • Carry out general secretarial and other duties as required
    • Prepare teaching materials and help for document or database research.
    • Provide support in the Faculty’s agenda management
    • Organise logistics for internal and external meetings
    • When required, assist in meeting with clients, take minutes and provide general support
    • Organise travel and complex travel planning: reservation of flights, accommodation, visas, etc.
    • Manage expenses claims timely and accurately
    • Provide support during workshops and events on campus when required
    • Provide support to Faculty during online events/programs when required

    Ideal profile

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent ideally in the commercial or Hospitality field
    • Strong experience in a customer relations role
    • Experience working in an international environment
    • Fluent in English, written and oral, a good command of French is a plus; any additional language is an asset
    • Computer literate (MS Office necessary; Salesforce, Canvas and Zoom are a plus)
    • Proven organizational and administrative skills
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in an independent manner
    • Excellent communication skills, customer-focused and diplomatic
    • Team player is a must
    • Stress management, customer-oriented, professional
    • Time management, organization and logistics skills
    • Strong sense of responsibility with a proactive and positive attitude
