SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO

• Production targets and deliverables:
• Running gold electrolytic process.
• Accounting for all inputs and outputs of the electrolytic process.
• Melting and granulation of cathode.
• Melting of sludge, stubs, and slag to minimize work in progress.
• Precipitation of Gold and Platinum Group Metals.
• Execution of weekly stock take.
• 100% participation of monthly and quarterly stock take.
• Operational efficiencies:
• First pass efficiency on electrolytic banks >76%
• Granules pass rate >96%     
• Drives timeous and accurate reporting through production logs & performance feedback on shift basis.
• Ensure that daily production targets are executed, and feedback is provided to the supervisor. 

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A completed Matric qualification with Physics and Mathematics.
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in a production environment.
• Preference will be given to candidates that have 1 year’ experience in a precious metal’s environment will be advantageous.

 SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO

• Production of 1 kg bars, 100 g bars and 12.5 kg as per production requirements.
• Production of 12.53 kg bar within the approved LBMA mass 12.443 – 12.751 kg per bar) and assay give-away and quality.
• SBP - Make-up packets under the guidance of the Supervisor.
• SBP – Operating Robot ensuring that no granules are spilt in the process.
• SBP – Melting of kilo bar on the CIF furnace using moulds as per production requirements.
• SBP - Weigh and grind bar to correct mass to comply within the 5 to 25 mg mass give-away and clean bar if required.
• Bar Casting – Melting large bars on CIF furnace using moulds as per production requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the area.
• Work efficiently within the team and be able to rotate jobs and equipment upon request.
• Basic task for cleaning and preparing bar for QC inspection for mass and physical appearance - Know when the conditions are correct for these processes.

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ working experience in manufacturing environment.

• Collaborate with HR to ensure all payroll processing is loaded to the payroll system.
• Verify that onboarding documentation is complete.
• Capture and issue an Employee number (Permanent or Fixed Term Contract) from SAP.
• Place all documents for records purposes.
• Arranging the Petty Cash claims.
• Submit the complete and accurate forms from employees to Medical Aid Schemes and Pension Funds.
• Assist with any pay queries from staff members and offer solutions, e.g. payslips, employee benefits, SARS, travel claims etc.
• Audit the SAP and Educos system to ensure that the employee details are correct and to see that the system is functioning as it should.
• Check the Time & Attendance control sheets to the T&A reports from SAP within 3 days of the new month.
• Validate employee time and attendance records from wage clocking systems by checking that the overtime, shift allowances and other allowances were correctly reported on the control sheet.
• Ensure that all application or forms submitted to be checked before accepting for processing (Team Building, Study Assistance, Child Education Loans etc.)

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A completed Matric qualification.
• National Diploma or degree in Payroll, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is advantageous. 
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar role.

• Execute industrial instrumentation planned maintenance with certification within specified time and give feedback to the foreman.
• Promptly attend to any industrial instrumentation and related process control systems breakdowns and callouts.
• Manage all maintenance work orders issued on time to ensure that weekly and monthly KPIs are met.
• Ensure that all industrial instrumentation and related process control systems are maintained, and plant reliability is optimized.
• Eliminate equipment downtime and speedily address any occurrences to minimize plant downtime.
• Complete weekly work orders (PM03) on time and give feedback foreman.
• Participate in Risk Assessments based on external and internal influences.
• Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained at all times while executing your duties.
• Manage others to ensure that unsafe conditions are reported on time to prevent any incidents or accidents.
• Participate in any inspection or audit as may be required.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A completed Matric qualification
• N3 or equivalent qualification
• Trade Test certificate in Instrumentation.
• At least 3 to 5 years' experience in the industrial instrumentation sector.
