    Automation Engineer OT & IT

    Possible Tasks within this Role

    • Take responsibility of the integrated automation systems (information & operational technology) within Paint shop.
    • Optimise and maintain operational performance of both IT & OT systems. 
    • Research and introduction of new future technologies in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborating with stakeholders internal & external to identify opportunities to solve problems through technological advancements and digitalisation.
    • Analyzing manufacturing trends and technologies for implementation to improve key KPIs.
    • Formulating and compiling detailed facility specifications to ensure the required facilities, machines, equipment and tools meet the required level of excellence.
    • Provide knowledge and support to Paint Shop maintenance personnel during breakdowns (including after-hours).
    • Initiate, implement and assist with continuous improvement by supporting the kaizen teams with knowledge and guidance regarding existing installations in the paint shop.
    • Identify obsolete equipment, thereby finding new sustained solutions for implementation. 
    • Constantly identify and drive processes towards to the company’s vision of a total digital factory by regular benchmarking of other VW plants.
    • Manage and maintain programs for software based applications by creating scheduled checks.
    • Manage and maintain backups & archiving of software and applications.
    • Manage & ensure Shopfloor IT systems are updated with latest bug & security patches as per specified intervals.
    • Perform programming & diagnostics on automation systems using engineering tools in order to reduce downtime or optimization activities.
    • Implement, manage and maintain change management procedures using documented processes.
    • Compile & maintain a complete IT & OT asset list of all Paint shop equipment utilizing manual & automatic processes to ensure good record keeping and compliance as per VW standards

    Qualification requirements

    • Have a National Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronic Engineering

    Experience needed

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in control system technologies or in the maintaining of shop floor IT.

    Essentials

    • Must be able to implement & maintain systems including the archiving and backing up of programs & applications.
    • Excellent hardware and OS knowledge both on desktops PC’s & IPC’s.
    • Good understanding of virtualized environments.
    • Good understanding of network protocols and networking devices.
    • Good understanding of the interfacing between the IT & the OT environments.
    • Good understanding of SCADA systems, including IO servers and basic scripting.
    • Good understanding of programming and perform fault finding on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).

    Technical Product Specialist ( Staff Level)

    Possible Tasks within this Role

    • Providing prompt and qualified repair support (repair advice) to the AUDI, VW & VW Commercial dealership network in South Africa and in SSA markets
    • Repairing, diagnosing and analysis, of vehicles that have been returned to the TSC recruitment.

    Experience needed

    • Minimum 5-10 years postgraduate work experience related to mechanical, electrical fault finding and development of technical solutions.

    Pilot Hall Engineer ( Vehicle Electronic Commissioning Programming) - Re- Advertise

    Possible Tasks within this Role

    • Plan and implement new commissioning programs with consideration to assembly production process, line layout, technical commissioning requirements and project timing (launch milestone) for new vehicle projects, model years or face-lifts.
    • Sole responsibility for the execution of vehicle electrics/electronics commissioning relating to the coding, testing and calibration of control units and driver assist systems for all production vehicles by programming through the specialized Siemens SIDIS system to ensure all vehicles meet group technical and quality as well as regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze and resolve commissioning problems within production by diagnosing and debugging vehicle test protocols and program traces to proactively address concerns within the commissioning processes
    • Liaison with customers (internal / external / local and international) to define needs and potential solutions that will result in new configurations suited to new technical and customer specific needs.
    • Plan and execute commissioning program maintenance over life cycle of the product
    • Verify and ensure that vehicles are commissioned as per VW group commissioning test specification
    • Secure production across 3 shifts including weekends through standby/callout arrangements

    Qualification requirements

    • Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (excluding heavy current), mechatronics or Information Technology/Computer Science

    Engineering Data Controller

    Possible Tasks within this Role

    • Create and maintain the Bill of Materials for various VWSA projects
    • Produce a VWSA specific data base, check and ensure for correctness before issued to the Company.
    • Document the receipt of Data Change Notifications (DCN) and convert the engineering information given into the TS related data, by appropriate coding

    Possible Tasks within this Role

    • Coordinating and managing a rental contact programme for portfolio of key clients

    Audi Communications and Relationships Manager

    Possible Tasks within this Role

    • Liaise and interact daily with the media to heighten visibility and enhance the image, products and thought leadership of Audi SA.
    • Plan, implement and report on product launch events, engagements and activities with the support of the Audi Events Manager.
