    Plant Manager

    Purpose of Role:

    • As the Plant Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind transforming our Alrode site into a world-class, reliable supplier - championing safety, operational excellence, and team engagement.
    • This is your opportunity to lead a talented workforce through change, break down barriers, and shape a culture that connects our site to the wider business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, motivate, and develop the team, fostering engagement and driving a collaborative, cultural approach to support organisational change.
    • Oversee operational budgets and recoveries, planning resources to align capacity with business needs and financial expectations.
    • Achieve customer delivery and quality targets by managing production to meet deadlines and divisional standards.
    • Ensure the site operates safely and meets all legal responsibilities, acting as the accountable person for safety and compliance.
    • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Engineering Degree.
    • 10 years of production management experience in ISO and OHSAS accredited.
    • 5 years’ experience as a legally appointed section 16.2.
    • 5 years’ experience with actively managing a continuous improvement programme in world class manufacturing, TQM, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
    • A track record of successful performance and people management.
    • Computer Literate – MS Office Suite, BAAN.

    Hydraulics Engineer

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Hydraulics Engineer will assist with the sale and management of Weir related pumping solutions. This role will be predominantly focused on slurry and dewatering solutions, although not limited to them. The role will be predominantly in the field, supporting the regions with the sale in the installation of these dewatering solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support for the product, internally and externally.
    • Site visits and trouble shooting.
    • Identify and develop new markets.
    • Support the wider Weir community with technical support.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Metallurgical / Chemical / Mechanical).
    • 1-3 years post qualification experience in a mining/manufacturing environment.
    • Computer Literate –MS Office Suite, ERP Software.
    • Pump selection experience (advantageous).
    • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
