    Artisan (Plumber) (Level Ii)

    Job Purpose    

    • Co-ordinates and controls specialized/technical plumbing tasks/activities by organizing materials and issuing instructions and guidelines.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Interprets and co-ordinates specific pre-work/site requirements with regards to installation, repairs and, planned and predictive maintenance sequences and guides the activities of personnel.
    • Completes internal transactional documentation (e.g. time sheets, log sheet, progress and productivity field report, etc.) and related forms (Vehicle checklist).
    • Co-ordinates activities/ sequences associated with trouble shooting/ fault finding process to identify reasons for control valve failure in the supply of water.
    • Co-ordinates activities and sequences associated with maintaining the functionality of water systems and components.

    Essential Requirements    

    • Qualified Artisan Plumber or Water Service Hand in terms of relevant legislation.
    • Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code C1).
    • Valid Professional Drivers Permit.
    • Certification in Basic First Aid and Basic Safety to be completed within 6 to 12 months from date of appointment.
    • 3 Years relevant experience at an Artisan level in Municipal plumbing with knowledge of large diameter water reticulation mains.
    • Computer Literacy.
    • Preferred Requirements    
    • Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification, i.e. Diploma or Degree.
    • Valid driver's license (Code EC) with PrDP.
    • 4 Years relevant experience

    Principal Clerk

    Job Purpose    
    To provide administrative assistance in the Recruitment and Administration Branch.

    This post reports to RECRUITMENT AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Undertaking the administration of new engagements, promotions and or progressions.
    • Extracting, tracking and updating recruitment reports.
    • Executing Manual and Electronic scheduling.
    • Arranging for interviews.
    • Typing and updating Recruitment and Administration correspondences.
    • Filing of general correspondence related to Recruitment and administration.

    Undertaking general driving duties.
    Essential Requirements    

    • Matric/Grade 12.
    • Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (code B) or be able to obtain one within 12 months from date of appointment.
    • 12 Months relevant experience.
    • Computer Literacy.

    Preferred Requirements    

    • Matric/Grade 12 plus relevant certificate accredited by SAQA.
    • 18 Months relevant experience.
