    MFC Maintenance Artisan Fitter PSP (Middelburg)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To safely maintain and repair mechanical parts, components and equipment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, RISK, QUALITY AND COMMUNITY

    • Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
    • CUSTOMERS

    • BUSINESS PROCESSES
    • Work execution:
    • Perform the job as outlined in the Work Order and as per the detailed Task List
    • Do regular plant inspections
    • Apply fault finding techniques
    • Capture history & complete the notification to the required standard
    • Confirm Work Order with the correct time and all details to the required standard
    • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Specialist on any task where there is a difference between the task instruction and the job requirements
    • Communicate if spares, equipment, or other factors were not available for job on the work order and to the Maintenance Supervisor
    • Generate Notifications from inspections and subsequent notifications
    • Perform isolation and issue lockout documents
    • Attend to breakdown quickly and safely
    • Capture all data related to the stoppage to aid in determining the root cause
    • Communicate ways of improving how the breakdown was handled to the Maintenance Specialist
    • Change out item
    • Create PM order detailing item to be drawn from stock
    • Create reservation for rotable on PM Order
    • Create subsequent notification
    • Complete all fields on the "Damage" tag on the return item to rotable store
    • Physically transport damaged rotable to lay down area
    • Handle loads by means of an overhead crane
    • Lift and move loads by means of a forklift
    • Perform standby duties (Own transport will be required)
    • Work overtime as and when required

    Requirements
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Grade 12 / N3 or N3 that is equivalent to a Grade 12/ Matric – 4 Technical/ Business subjects and 2 x language subjects
    • Qualified Fitter Trade Test Certificate
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience gained in a heavy industrial environment from date of obtaining Trade test certificate
    • Valid Driver’s License (minimum Code 8/B)

    ADVANTAGEOUS

    • Previous PSP working experience
    • Computer Literacy (MS-Office)
    • Computerised Maintenance Management System/ SAP Systems experience

    MFC Prod Operator Plant (Middelburg)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To assist with safely crushing and screening final product. To inspect the plant and material for deviations, to take samples and to discharge bins onto the tractors on a shift basis.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Crushing:
    • Inspect plant during operation to ensure that conveyors and screens are not overloaded or damaged
    • Inspect pre-break areas for quality and sizing
    • Ensure material is stockpiled in the correct bunkers
    • Ensure screen panels are in good condition for correct product sizing
    • Ensure that material is crushed and screened to correct size
    • Ensure that there are no excessive slag and/ or foreign objects in final product
    • Take final product samples during crushing
    • Collect crusher plant samples, submit and scan in at the Laboratory
    • Monitor chips plant product bins and discharge onto tractor
    • Temperature scanning of ingots
    • Empty sample bins with Forklift
    • Ensure conformance with quality and environmental standards
    • Inspect crushed materials for quality deviations e.g., sizing and contamination
    • Assist with crushing process where required
    • Low Level Maintenance:
    • Unblock blockages
    • Ensure good housekeeping in the plant
    • Inspect equipment for defects e.g., guarding, conveyors, screens, chutes and skirtings
    • Operate the crane/ hoists - when required
    • Reporting:
    • Report material quality, sizing and plant performance to the Coordinator during shift
    • General

    • Any other related tasks required for example: Ad hoc work with Crane / Forklift, Collections / deliveries from / to other departments, Ad hoc admin etc.

    Requirements

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To safely assist with maintaining and optimising low and high-level Plant Instrumentation. Assist with coordination and provide maintenance support in your responsible area.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Capture all data related to the call out to aid in determining the root cause in the form of a call out report to be distributed before you leave the site
    • Communicate to the Senior Standby when work is completed before you leave the site

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Grade 12/N3 or N3 that is equivalent to a Grade 12/Matric (4x Technical subjects or 4x Business subjects and 2x Languages subjects)
    • Qualified Instrumentation Trade Test certificate
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience gained in a heavy industrial environment after completion of Trade Test
    • Valid Driver’s license (minimum B/Code 8)
    • Computer literacy (MS Office & SAP)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To perform Group, spend analysis, identify opportunities, implement initiatives to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for assigned services and goods through tenders and contracts. To ensure optimal sourcing and timeous availability of quality goods and services to meet the Business Unit’s requirements
