Key Performance Areas:

• Design of bridges or similar related structural engineering design.
• Contract administration, including the preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities.
• Manage the design process of projects.
• Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
• Assist in preparation of proposals.
• Assist with report writing as required.
• Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers.

Requirements

Qualifications

• BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering)
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration (an added advantage)

Experience

• 3 years plus experience in Bridge Design
• Knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Revit/Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
• Bridge Draughting experience (advantage)

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in an Engineering or Construction field (BSc, BTech or equivalent as a minimum)

Experience

• Minimum 10 years work experience as electrical site engineer or electrical construction supervisor, with at least 4 years’ experience on renewable projects

Responsibilities

• The Electrical Construction Supervisor for the Koruson 1 Cluster Wind Farms will be responsible for the successful construction of the electrical reticulation network, substation and Eskom switching station on the project. The Electrical Construction Supervisor will be part of the Koruson 1 Site team and will manage the electrical scope of the Balance Of Plant Contractor and liaise with the Owner’s Engineer on electrical design related matters and GIBB Power on company related matters.
•  Exposure and knowledge to multiple project execution will be an added advantage

Core Requirements

• An excellent working knowledge of MS Office
• Willingness to be site-based in Northern Cape for the full duration of the project
• General technical acumen
• Speaks and writes English fluently
• Good knowledge of another language is an advantage
• In possession of a valid driver’s license
• Medically fit
