Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Schedule, coordinate and participate in projects as required by the electrical department.
• Maintenance and repair of lab equipment and consumables in line with the department’s requirements.

• Assist staff and students with academic and industrial projects.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years Electrical Engineering laboratory working experience in a tertiary institution.
• Knowledge and experience in circuit design, electrical systems, workshop machines and fault-finding of electrical and computer systems.
• IT support and computer repair related experience.
• Good track record in demonstrating and supervising of Electrical Engineering practicals in a tertiary institution.
• Sound engineering knowledge in problem solving.

• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management/Logistics or equivalent qualification
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience within a medium to large organization of tenders in excess of R500 million of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory level in procurement 
• Technical knowledge in Demand Management, Acquisition Management, Logistics, Risk Management, Audit, Stores,
• Database management, control implementations and performance management.

Recommendation

• Professional body membership such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or similar organization would be highly advantageous

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Develop, implement and manage procurement policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement and manage the CPUT stores system together with the related policies and procedures.
• Manage and monitor the performance of CPUT's Stores and procurement staff.
• Generate periodic management reports for management and store items.
• Prepare and liaise with audit in the conducting of both internal and external annual audits.
• Database implementation, management and Risk management.
• Human resource management
• Any ad hoc function as required by your line manager

• A relevant Master's or Honours degree in Computer Applications Technology (CAT) (Please note that preference will be given to candidates with a relevant Masters degree).
• Computer Applications Technology (CAT) as a major at Bachelor's level
• A relevant teaching qualification
• At least five (5) years’ experience in teaching CAT at school level or two (2) years teaching the subject at tertiary level
• Knowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for Senior and FET Phase students.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans - B.Ed tuition on the Wellington campus is in Afrikaans

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Teaching Computer Literacy in Education in the Senior and FET Phase from first to fourth year level
• Learning materials design and preparation
• Assessment, marking and uploading of student marks
• Coaching and mentoring students
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department

• Honours’ Degree or Postgraduate Diploma qualification.
•  At least 5 years working experience in the public higher education quality assurance environment.
• Proven experience in coordinating quality assurance activities such as programme accreditation, qualification reviews, quality improvement plans and quality promotion in the public Higher Education environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the higher education regulatory environment.
• A good understanding of data management, document repositories and sharing applications.
• Report writing and research data analysis skills.

Recommendation:

• Preference may be given to candidates with a Master’s qualification or proof of registration for a Master’s qualification.

• To conceptualize and coordinate quality promotion activities in line with the quality promotion plan.
• To capacitate staff and students on generative and reflexive methodology to quality assurance.
• To conduct workshops on institutional best practices and innovation
• To conduct background research and assist in design, development & review of quality management related policies, procedures, systems & instruments as required, in line with relevant legislation, national standards & international best practice.
• To coordinate QMD marketing and communication activities.
