KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Asset Maintenance

• Control and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance department including upkeep of plant, buildings, car parks and access roads through a preventative maintenance program

 Regulatory Compliance

• Responsibilities as GMR 2.7 Ito the OHS Act
• Ensure all Facilities, plant and equipment is maintained in accordance with the requirements of the OHS Act and its regulations

 Project Management

• Control and coordinate the activities of in-house projects
• Raise CAPEX applications for approvals as required

People Management

• Ensure optimal productivity of all subordinates through effective performance management
• Develop and monitor employees KPI’s
• Effective use and discharge of the company’s disciplinary code

 Finance

• Manage and control Maintenance budget
• Provide monthly cost reports
• Control labour costs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma N6, (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in plant maintenance, five of which at First Line Management level
• Trade Test
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with sound practical skills including project management

Job Description

We are currently on a search for a Senior Specialist -Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role will be responsible for the implementation and improvement of Production Layouts and Processes that eliminate Waste, increase Productivity and reduce Costs while maintaining Quality Standards within the Organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Improve and Optimize Production Processes, Ergonomics and Line Layouts.
• Improve Material Handling and Material Flow.
• Conduct Continuous Improvement Studies to Improve Productivity.
• Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis with Corrective and Preventive Actions.
• Monitoring Production Performance against set Standards and recommend Corrective Actions.
• Improve Jig and Fixture Design.
• Perform Feasibility Studies.
• Operations management.
• Reduce Production Man Hours and Factory Transformation Costs.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS

• B Tech /B Eng. / BSc Eng. relevant engineering qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering preferably in manufacturing.
• Must have proven Engineering ability to Reduce Waste and Improve Productivity.
• Self-Starter.
• Be Analytic and Deductive.
• Hands on.
• Team Player.
• Willing to Learn at all levels within the Organization.
• Good Leadership and Communication Skills.
• Computer Skills (MS Office / AutoCAD / SAP).
• Six Sigma / TPM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Booking of Workshop repairs
• Preparing quotations for cash repairs in the workshop
• Checking on outstanding workshop repairs
• Updating contact System
• Ordering of Spares
• Assisting with refurb credits and Invoicing
• Follow up on service exchange deliveries and Pod’s
• Liaising with the workshop technicians on repairs
• General housekeeping of the workshop and refurb center

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• N3 - N6 Electrical Certificate
• Computer Literacy
• Good communication skills
• Technical background in domestic appliances preferable
