Shift Leader Maintenance - Durban at Defy Appliances

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Asset Maintenance

• Control and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance department including upkeep of plant, buildings, car parks and access roads through a preventative maintenance program

 Regulatory Compliance

• Responsibilities as GMR 2.7 Ito the OHS Act
• Ensure all Facilities, plant and equipment is maintained in accordance with the requirements of the OHS Act and its regulations

 Project Management

• Control and coordinate the activities of in-house projects
• Raise CAPEX applications for approvals as required

People Management

• Ensure optimal productivity of all subordinates through effective performance management
• Develop and monitor employees KPI’s
• Effective use and discharge of the company’s disciplinary code

 Finance

• Manage and control Maintenance budget
• Provide monthly cost reports
• Control labour costs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma N6, (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in plant maintenance, five of which at First Line Management level
• Trade Test
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with sound practical skills including project management
