    Job Details:

    Supervisor Fraud Investigation

    Job Summary:

    The Supervisor Fraud Investigator is accountable for conducting internal and external investigations relating to operational policy and/or procedural breaches as well as participating in broader operational risk and related protection services activities.  The incumbent’s responsibilities include monitoring, detection and investigation of assigned governance and security threats to the mine.

    The Supervisor Engineering will be responsible for pre, and post inspection and oversight of components and spares selected for reconditioning, refurbishment and/or repairs to ensure compliance with required quality standards and specifications.     Section Manager C & I

    Job Summary 

    The Section Manager Engineering – C&I is accountable for designing and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of advanced technology and networks associated with the mine’s modernisation programme. Accountabilities include identifying and executing C&I maintenance programmes, modernisation and maintenance projects and, interfaces between operational areas up to 3,000 meters underground and a surface-based centralised control centre. This includes managing tele-remote trackless fleet and plant operations from the surface control room, as well as overseeing C&I systems, field instruments, communication systems, access control, detection and monitoring systems, video surveillance, and advanced fleet monitoring systems while ensuring optimum safety standards are maintained.

    • Schedule monitoring activities and plan tasks while ensuring alignment with relevant aspects of operational Code of Practices (COPs) for Airborne Pollutants, Personal Noise, and Dust Particle Management (DPM), in line with the DMRE Guidelines
    • Schedule and conduct surface and underground Environmental Engineering and occupational hygiene inspections
    • Prepare necessary reports on inspections highlighting key observations and recording recommendations for required corrective actions
    • Monitor achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly occupational hygiene standards and targets
    • Collate and compile Environmental Engineering Inspection and Monitoring Program Reports
    • Implement and monitor relevant occupational hygiene personal monitoring programs reporting on noteworthy observations and recommendations for required corrective actions
    • Participate in relevant occupational hygiene standard committees and forums
    • Participate in overexposure investigations to ensure quality control and information accuracy
    • Deliver on assigned ad-hoc tasks such as presentations, investigations and projects in line with the role and duties

    Maintenance Utility Vehicle Operator

    Job Summary

    The Maintenance Utility Vehicle Operator is accountable for refuelling TM3 machines, stationary impact breakers in the underground environment

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matriculated or Equivalent
    • Maintenance Utility Vehicle Certificate
    • Dover B result
    • Drivers licence
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a mining environment
    • Secure full Gold Fields Security and Related Occupational Screening
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    Key Competencies:

    • Established personal safety delivery record
    • Strong inter and intra-team collaboration skills
    • Sound spoken and written English communication skills
    • Completion of a machine appreciation awareness programme (O4R/M4R or equivalent)
    • Ability to cope with ambiguity with high personal resilience and change adaptability
    • Established problem-solving skills

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintains Safety, Health and Environmental practices according to standards and procedures
    • Does a pre-use inspection on this equipment by means of a checklist and report deficiencies to the supervisor
    • Performs basic maintenance on equipment, e.g., top-up engine oil, water and hydraulic oil, check for oil leaks and clean equipment according to standards and procedures
    • Performs end of shift procedures according to standards and procedures e.g., parks the Maintenance Utility Vehicle at the designated area, cleans equipment and reports to supervisor
    • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work
    • Filling up of maintenance vehicle with oil, diesel and hydraulic oil. Driving to the section and filling up TM3 machines with diesel, hydraulic oil and engine oil including all stationary impact breakers
