    Internal Audit Consultant

    As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
    • Train and lead staff
    • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
    • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
    • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
    • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
    • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
    • Preparation of Audit planning memo's and/or scope letters
    • Preparation of ORCA document (Objectives, Risk, Controls and Alignment)
    • Assessing key controls in terms of control design adequacy
    • Assessing key controls in terms of control effectiveness
    • Assessing business processes (financial and operational) in line with leading practice, as well as ability to identify gaps in processes
    • Assessing business processes in line with approved policy and procedure documents (Compliance)
    • Preparation of Audit findings, and the discussion of these with key client personnel
    • Preparation of Audit findings templates and draft reports

    Preferred skills

    • Competent in risk identification and analysis
    • Competent in control assessment, design and recommendation

    Minimum years experience required

    • 2 - 4 years experience in Internal Audit
    • BCom or Bachelor of Business or equivalent degree

    Additional application instructions

    • Studies in Internal Audit to an advanced level would be highly advantageous
    • Good communication skills
    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
    • Computer literate - good knowledge of Pastel, MS Word and Excel
    • Must be able to work under pressure
    • Sound administration skills
    • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
    • Must have own transport with valid driver's license
    • Good working knowledge of IIA Standards
    • Experience in the use of TeamMate will be an added advantage

    Valuation and Business Modelling Senior Manager

    Roles & Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will have a key role to play in the team through:

    •     Leading financial model build and model health check engagements;
    •     Assisting various business development initiatives in order to establish a strong market presence; and
    •     Ensuring that the team is at the forefront of best practice methodology through liaising with PwC’s global teams and keeping abreast of innovative changes within both Excel and financial models.
    • The candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of clients, from global multinationals through to entrepreneurial, owner managed businesses, covering both domestic and cross border work


    •     CA (SA) or
    •     Finance honours or
    •     CFA

    We are looking for a candidate that has a combination of strong Excel and financial modelling skills as well as business and commercial acumen. To be successful in this role the candidate is expected to have the following:

    •     Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills;
    •     Strong commercial acumen and financial skills;

    •     Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to write succinct, wellstructured reports and client communications;
    •     A wellorganised and self directed individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organisation.
