The Role

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintenance and installation of all equipment, processes, facilities and infrastructure within the Sales Area. 

Management of construction projects and control of site security, canteen and any other additional responsibilities.  Coordination of the department to ensure a high level of performance in emergency, preventative and predictive maintenance along with reliability engineering and process improvement are a focal point.

Key Responsibilities

• Recommending, Planning, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of organization facilities.
• Oversees and plans annual facility spending for office services, building and grounds maintenance, and facility expansion or improvement projects.
• May direct the safety and/or security functions of the facilities.
• Direct the maintenance team in both building and equipment maintenance.
• Identify and implement targets for measuring the performance of the Maintenance department.
• Ensure continuous improvement in Preventive Maintenance.
• Responsible for budget and completion timeline.
• Ensure compliance with the ISO Standards Quality, Safety and Environmental Systems ISO 90001, 14001 and 45001.
• Contractor selection to achieve the most efficient and economical results.
• Deal with and coordinate contractors and vendors involved in maintenance, construction and consolidation.
• Monitor that all building systems are checked and tested regularly and maintained in accordance with supplier specifications.
• Manage relationships with landlords, service providers and environmental stakeholders.

Profile Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent.
• GCC Certificate
• Qualified and experienced in Project Management.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Facilities Maintenance/ Engineering or equivalent related functions.
• Enhanced knowledge of; Production Plants & Process, Electrical Maintenance Procedures, Equipment & Machinery, Codes & Health and Safety, Best Practices, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 41001, Technical Drawing, Contract Management.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
• Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter.
• Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
• Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, and peers.

The Role:

To apply and use knowledge of sales processes and tools to in promoting and selling the organization's products and services within assigned geographic area, product range or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.

Key Performance Responsibilities

• Create and implement a sales strategy for your assigned accounts for Parts, Sales and Services.
• Proactively work with Sales Engineers, Field Service team and Sales Manager in identifying sales leads related to new equipment sold.
• Recommend spare parts lists for new product sales.
• Work closely with the customer maintenance team, Planners, Buyers and operational team, in facilitating supply contracts (when required).
• Identify product training opportunities within customer business and refer them accordingly to our business network.
• Identify sales opportunities based upon gaps in product line penetration and devise action plan to capture this business.

Identify, define, and implement the strategy for the crusher:

• repairs,
• rebuild or refurbishment,
• reborn opportunities.
• Provide regular sales and revenue forecast by direct customer, product type, etc. to the Sales Manager.
• Ensure that all new Sandvik equipment has been correctly registered with the Sandvik Warranty team.
• Manage warranties to ensure that all warranties are followed through to closure.
• Develop and communicate Customer Value Propositions for the individual products and combined offerings with the support of the Sales Manager and/or Product Specialist.
• Conduct competitor monitoring and analysis of the competitive landscape for all products in the portfolio.
• Market introduction of new products into the market and decisions to phase out products in cooperation with the respective product lines and supply chain teams.
• Maintain all the customer information, with regards to site contact details, Sandvik fleet, hour usage and others etc on the SRP CRM systems.

Profile Required

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
• Relevant Certificate/Diploma in Sales and Marketing
• Trade qualification advantageous
• At least 3 years’ experience in Crushing & Screening or similar environment
• At least 3 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing
• Computer literacy -Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Sales Tools – (CRM, SAP)
• English proficiency
• Valid driver’s licence
• Physically and medically fit to work in a mining and/or quarrying environment
