    Disability Claims Specialist

    Under general direction and within company guidelines, you will research, collate, record and examine complex claims to make long term claim settlement determinations; and approve where applicable.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Manage the full administration process of group risk disability benefits payable to beneficiaries
    • Calculate and process the payout of claims
    • Liaise with internal and external clients
    • Ensure proper record-keeping, summarised information and system updates
    • Understand and interpret policy definitions and rules
    • Compile disability claim reports for clients

    Qualification And Experience

    • Grade 12
    • Basic understanding and knowledge of industry
    • Minimum 3 years' experience with Group Risk products within an Employee Benefits environment
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in claims processing and pay-out (i.e. claims administration, settlements, approvals and rejections)

    Manager: PMO Operational Support

    Responsible for the planning, organising and controlling of a department/business unit. Responsible for the administration and technical documentation in the department or division.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Manage general administration of Business Change and all operational needs and issues
    • Perform line management responsibilities for Project Management Administrators (PMA)
    • Contracting of PMA’s and contract management of required staff in BC
    • Administer & coordinate Training requirements for the BC PMO
    • Co-ordinate on-boarding of new recruits and office moves
    • Provide assistance to BC managers on all HR related issues and functions, incl:
    • administer personnel records
    • support KPA process,
    • support salary review process
    • Manage infrastructure incl asset register, office and computer equipment orders, upgrades and maintenance
    • Administer Business Continuity planning

    Qualifications

    • Relevant accredited courses (relevant diploma an advantage)

    Experience

    • 3 years job-related experience in a Project Office, Operational Management and HR Support

    Claims Assessor

    Under general direction and within company guidelines will research, collates, records and examines complex claims to make long term claim settlement determinations. Within approved guidelines will approve claims. Will source inputs from claims consultant where necessary.
    What will make you successful in this role?

    • To assess each claim on the claim administration system and identify the type of claim
    • Assess the validity of the identified claim by assuring all the supporting documentation has been submitted. (assess the documentation in terms of signed claim form, id of deceased, proof of bank details, death certificate, BI 1663)
    • Valid claims are processes on the administration system and send for payment
    • Claims that have outstanding documentation: client will be notified of outstanding requirement
    • Invalid claims will be rejected/ Repudiated
    • All claims processes must align to SLA and SOPS
    • To maintain and error rating of less than 1 %
    • Assure capturing of claims are done accurately
    • Assure all criteria is met to pay claim
    • Assure the quality of feedback (written and verbal) to clients
    • To ensure that clients are provided with real time information on the status of the claim (feedback on the claim processing)
    • Assure feedback on requirements for successful claims payment is done timeously

    Qualification And Experience

    Developer & Analyst

    This role is responsible for catalysing change in the Actuarial/Finance department through the development of modern, intelligent and efficient valuation processes and systems for Sanlam Close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders throughout development process Design, develop and assist with the implementation of a new financial process for IFRS4 and IFRS17 published reporting

    Output/Core Tasks

    • Analyze the requirements of a reporting system to support published and MI reporting for Sanlam SKY
    • Collaborate with the actuarial and finance teams to define the data model for this reporting system
    • Maintenance and development of modern valuations processes and BI systems for the SKY actuarial and finance teams
    • Close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders in Finance and Actuarial
    • Unit and regression testing of systems
    • Document work in a user friendly manner
    • Support with the implementation of new systems & processes
    • Assistance with ad-hoc tasks and investigations

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Role Requirements

    • Travel to Johannesburg from time to time will be required.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3 years work experience within the finance, actuarial or data analytics field.
    • More senior applicants will be also be considered.

    • Advanced Excel skills

    • SQL programming
    • Good knowledge of Sanlam SKY products (mostly Funeral products)
