    Diesel Mechanic

    SALARY RANGE: SALARY: T11 (R331 764,00 PER ANNUM) + FRINGE BENEFITS

    CORE FUNCTION

    • Responsible for the general mechanical maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment, and construction machinery, as well as the supervision and management of personnel, equipment, and tools as allocated.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Qualified Diesel Mechanic through successful completion of a 4-year Department of Labour-approved apprenticeship, or alternatively, a Trade Certificate obtained by passing a trade test as approved by the Department of Labour.
    • Grade 12.
    • At least 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of earthmoving machinery.
    • Valid EC driver’s licence and a valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).
    • Good communication skills.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    • Successful candidates will be required to undergo medical testing in order to comply with the requirements of the Construction Regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993, as amended).

    Environmental Health Practitioner/ SNR EHP

    SALARY: T11/12 (R331 764,00 / SNR – R391 644 PER ANNUM /) + FRINGE BENEFITS

    CORE FUNCTION

    • To render a Municipal Health Service as defined in the Health Act, 2003 (Act 61 of 2003) in his/her responsible area, according to organizational policies and statutory requirements, read in conjunction with the Scope of Practice of an Environmental Health Practitioner.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • National Diploma/Degree in Environmental Health.
    • Successful completion of the compulsory one-year community service.
    • Proof of current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Practitioner
    • Valid Code B Driver’s license with own reliable vehicle
    • Successful completion of Peace Officer training will serve as an advantage to applicants.
    • Ability to function independently and effectively in stressful situations.

    Roads Asset Management Technologist (RRAMS)

    SALARY : R35 000,00 PER MONTH (TOTAL COST TO COMPANY)

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Graduated B-TECH: Civil Engineering. Code B Drivers Licence. Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Proficiency in Mobicap and Fulcrum. Should have completed an introductory course in Bridge and Culvert Assessments. Basic GIS knowledge.

    NONE TECHNICAL ATTRIBUTES:

    • Preference will be given to Technologist from the service area of Central Karoo DM. Integrity, Objectivity, Confidentiality and Independence and precision as well as good work ethics. Basic understanding of GIS application.
    • Knowledge about transport systems and roads. Knowledge about classification of road networks.
    • Assisting in implementation of the RRAMS project. Coordination, planning and administration of the engineering activities in the District.

    Skills Development Facilitator/HR Support

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management. 2 years relevant experience.
    • Valid B Driver’s License.
    • Computer Literacy (MSWord/Excel/PowerPoint).
    • Good human relations, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Accuracy and ability to give attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of HR related legislation.
    • Previous experience as a training specialist will be an added advantage. ODETDP Certificate of LGSETA will be an added advantage.

    DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

    Manager: Records & Facilities Maintenace (Beaufort West)

    Salary: T14 (R496 464,00 per annum) + fringe benefits

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably an appropriate B-Degree in Information Science/Records Management/Public Administration/Archival Science.
    • At least 5 years experience in middle management.
    • Experience in the fields of paper-based and electronic records management.
    • Valid B Drivers License.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with Records Management training as also presented by the National or Provincial Archives and Records Service (NARS). Computer Literacy. Accurate Typing Skills.

    ADDED ADVANTAGE:

    • Knowledge of Local Government Legislation. Previous experience of records management. Experience of the Quidity Records Program Records Management Certificate.

    • Professional and confidential records management and policy development to ensure records is managed in accordance with the National Archives and Records Services of SA. General care of the buildings of the CKDM.
