    Refrigeration Mechanic

    Key purpose

    • To provide technical support and services to the Equipment services division and other related stakeholders through the installation, maintenance and repair of fountain & coffee equipment in order to meet all quality standards and to achieve customer service excellence.

    • Valid Code 08 driver's licence (must currently be driving). Code 10 will be an added advantage.

    Process Support & Water Treatment Manager

    Job Description    

    • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Process Support and Water Treatment Manager, to join the Midrand team at CCBA.The role will report to the QFSE Manager.

    Key Porpose

    • The Process Support & Water Treatment Manager leads syrup processing and water treatment operations to ensure product quality, KORE compliance, hygiene excellence, and effective team performance, supporting reliable production and audit readiness.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Outcomes

    Syrup Room and Processing Oversight

    • Manage syrup making operations, ensuring correct formulations, accurate batch mixing, and timely delivery to production lines.
    • Supervise Team Leader: Processing and Syrup Maker to maintain high operational and hygiene standards.
    • Ensure the availability, correct handling, and storage of ingredients and concentrates.

    Water Treatment Oversight

    • Act as the plant’s technical interface for water treatment services.
    • Ensure that contractors meet all water quality parameters, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory/KORE requirements.
    • Monitor water treatment reports, perform trend analysis, and escalate risks to the QFSE Manager.

    Process Compliance and Quality Assurance

    • Ensure syrup and treated water meet TCCC specifications and food safety standards.
    • Drive adherence to GMP, GLP, and KORE protocols in processing areas.
    • Lead process quality checks, validations, and verifications, and ensure corrective actions for deviations.

    Hygiene and Cleaning Standards

    • Implement and monitor Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and sanitation programs for syrup and water systems.
    • Ensure effective cleaning of all equipment and environments to eliminate contamination risks.

    Documentation and Systems Support

    • Maintain accurate and complete records related to syrup batches, water quality, and process parameters.
    • Support ISO, FSSC 22000, and KORE audits by ensuring documentation readiness.
    • Participate in root cause analyses, non-conformance investigations, and CAPA processes.

    People Leadership and Development

    • Lead and coach direct reports to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
    • Identify training needs and implement development plans for the processing team.
    • Ensure adherence to shift schedules, performance KPIs, and safety protocols.

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Education

    • National Diploma in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or related science/engineering field
    • Preferred: BTech/BSc in Food Science, Chemistry, or Engineering
    • Additional certifications in Food Safety (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000) and KORE are advantageous

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG or beverage manufacturing
    • Strong background in syrup making, water treatment oversight, or liquid product processing
    • Experience working in a certified food safety environment (FSSC, ISO, or KORE-compliant)
    • Exposure to managing third-party service providers or utilities is an advantage

    Skills

    • In-depth understanding of beverage formulation and ingredient handling
    • Knowledge of water treatment technologies and quality parameters (e.g., filtration, chlorination, conductivity, pH)
    • Sound working knowledge of CIP, sanitation protocols, and microbiological risk control
    • Ability to read and interpret lab results, quality specifications, and process data
    • Competency in GMP, food safety systems, and non-conformance management
    • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems

    Relocation Assistant

    Job Description    

    • Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting  opportunities in our Cold Drink Equipment department. We are looking for talented individual with relevant skills and experience for an Relocation Assistant role, which is based in Polokwane.

    Key Purpose

    • To provide assistance in the re-location of fountain and hot beverages equipment to internal customers, sales and receiving outlets and to take responsibility for the loading and strapping in of the equipment and returns, so that customer requirements and business needs are met. 

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Daily tasks

    • Execute the physical equipment loading, placements and removals
    • Performed loading and strapping-in of equipment
    • Off-loaded fountain and coffee equipment
    • Good hand-eye coordination
    • Complete work in line with the defined company standards
    • Maintained housekeeping standards
    • Application of memory and attention to detail
    • Assisted with relocations/repositioning of fountain and hot beverage equipment
    • Complete work in line with the requirements of the Coca-Cola Quality system, HACCP, the 5-star NOSA system and ISO14000

    Administration

    • Assist with the completion of the check-in procedure

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Qualifications / Experience

    • Minimum requirement: Matric 
    • 6 months experience in deliveries/ handling equipment
    • Valid medical certificate
    • Physical flexibility and preparedness to work overtime / variable week
    • Criminal and credit check
    • Code 10 and 14 driver’s licenses will be an added advantage
    • Basic knowledge of fountain and hot beverage equipment models
    • Installation and handling requirements
    • Understanding of RED (Right Execution Daily)

    Water Treatment Process Specialist

    Job Description

    Key Purpose 

    • To ensure effective governance, compliance, optimisation, and continuous improvement of water treatment processes across all plants through technical expertise, audit support, and capability development.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Outcomes

    National Water Treatment Process Governance

    • Provide technical leadership on all aspects of source water treatment, process water, and final water quality across all plants.
    • Set and monitor compliance with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) water treatment and quality standards, including relevant ISO, SANS, and local regulations.

    Water Quality & Compliance Management

    • Ensure that all plants maintain validated water treatment processes aligned to Coca-Cola requirements 
    • Lead or support root cause investigations and risk mitigation actions for water-related non-conformances and deviations.
    • Maintain current water risk assessments and support plant teams in updating water safety plans.

    Process Optimization & Innovation

    • Identify and drive opportunities for water treatment efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability improvements.
    • Benchmark global best practices and assess new technologies that improve treatment performance or reduce water footprint.
    • Participate in capital investment evaluations for water treatment upgrades or expansions.

    Audit Readiness & Support

    • Prepare plants for internal, external, and regulatory audits focused on water treatment systems and water quality compliance.
    • Provide direct technical support during bottler or third-party assessments.

    Capability Building & Technical Support

    • Develop and deliver training programs to upskill plant Water Treatment Operators and QSE teams on water treatment processes and troubleshooting.
    • Support new plant start-ups or equipment commissioning involving water systems.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental, and QSE teams to align water treatment priorities with business objectives.
    • Engage with external stakeholders and service providers related to water treatment systems, equipment, and testing services.

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Water Engineering, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or related field
    • Certification in Water Treatment, Process Engineering, or ISO/FSSC standards is advantageous

    Experience

    • 5–8 years of experience in industrial or beverage water treatment operations, preferably in the FMCG sector
    • Proven experience in applying water quality standards, process controls, and HACCP principles
    • Experience with regulatory compliance and interaction with environmental or water authorities
    • Strong background in plant-level support, troubleshooting, and process validation 

    Skills

    • Expert knowledge of water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, reverse osmosis, UV disinfection, chlorination, demineralization)
    • Strong understanding of microbiological and chemical water quality parameters
    • Proficient in interpreting water quality data and implementing process improvements
    • Familiarity with ISO 22000, ISO 14001, FSSC standards
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical reporting capabilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and QMS platforms
