Job Description:
What are you going to do?

• Handles telephone- and fax contacts, so that quick and correct connections be established, and messages are transmitted.
• establishment of local, long distance and international connections, using the telephone, fax and e-mail
• accepting incoming calls and ensure the correct connection as required by current practices
• record calls and record messages
• capture much needed phone numbers and addresses
• locate employees with the help of the employee database
• Sending emails and distribute received messages
• Receives and speaks to visitors and brings them in contact with the desired company employees, such that a representative picture of the company presented.
• Sets the answering machine and handles the received calls, such that the accessibility of the company is guaranteed.
• record messages on the automatic telephone answering machines
• passing on messages received with the answering machine to the relevant company employees
• Able to deal with some stressful situations during peak hours, with accumulation of calls and simultaneously receiving visitors.
• Performs additional clerical work, such as:

1. types of letters, notices, reports, etc., in accordance with received concepts
2. managing the supply of office materials and give orders to resupply stock

What are you going to do?

• Analyze and provide integrated recommendations on management and nutrition on farm for improved performance and efficiency.
• Calculates and assesses the relative nutritional values of various feeds and raw materials and make recommendations accordingly.
• Advise on feed formulation, premix formulation, feed additive usage for existing and new swine customers as well as internal stakeholders.
• Organizes technical support and training programs (technical service, nutrition, training, seminars) for customers and internal team related to products, information, and support services.
• Coordinate Know-how and expertise within Sub-Saharan Africa
• Keeps track of new developments and innovations within Nutreco Africa as well as other companies.
• Understand and translate global product position and know-how to local approach & needs, and vice versa
• Translating research findings and practical experiences into the animal feed portfolio
• Coordination and review of nutritional aspects and feed manufacturing implications of new and existing products with both internal and external groups
• Assists in managing and developing protocols, data and reports of all post-registration studies, as well as interactions with marketing to develop and leverage resulting data into sales
• Responsible for quality control, analysis and interpretation of trial data and preparations of final reports
• Contributing to product development by introducing new food concepts into Africa Portfolio.

What You Bring

• Animal Nutrition or related Qualification
• Registered Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Animal Feed industry (nutrition, production and farm management) specifically related to swine industry.
• Good understanding of swine nutrition and ability to offer solutions to optimize animal performance
• Experience related to premix and feed additive industry would be advantageous.
• Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
