    Branch Manager

    Purpose of the role:

    • This role offers the opportunity to lead a key Weir ESCO operation with full ownership of performance, people, and customer outcomes. As Branch Manager in Middelburg, you will shape strategy, drive growth, and make a visible impact in a business that values accountability and initiative.
    • You’ll work closely with customers in a critical mining region while leading a capable, experienced team. It’s an opportunity for a hands‑on leader to grow a business and their career within a global organisation.

    What you’ll do:

    • Effective management of all aspects of the branch to ensure achievement of revenue targets.
    • Develop and implement sales strategy and plan to support the achievement of revenue targets.
    • Provide technical and other support to District Managers and Customers.

    What you’ll bring

    Must-haves: 

    • Relevant National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mining Operations, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of the local mining industry is essential, including understanding of customer operations and site requirements.
    • Demonstrated technical familiarity with Mining GET, dragline rigging, and chains, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a commercial and operational environment. Strong knowledge of the local coal mining industry.
    • Proven leadership capability with experience managing operational teams, contractors, and customer interfaces in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
    • Sound commercial and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and P&L accountability at branch or operational level.

    Automation Solution Designer/Architect

    Purpose of Role: 

    • As an Automation Solutions Designer/Architect, you will be a key architect of Weir’s Group Digital & Automation ecosystem, defining how integrations, automation, AI, and process intelligence come together to support global operations at scale.
    • You will lead the design of end-to-end architectures spanning enterprise integrations, process automation, user experience automation, and agentic capabilities, connecting internal and external applications through robust, APIled and event-driven patterns.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:  

    • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline, with extensive experience in solution or enterprise architecture focused on integration and automation. 
    • Proven delivery of largescale automation and agentic initiatives, beyond pilots and proofs of concept, including handson experience with process mining, intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, and APIbased, eventdriven, and messagebased integration architectures. 
    • Strong cloud and platform experience, including designing and running cloudnative solutions, working with enterprise integration platforms, and delivering in global, crossfunctional, agile environments across multiple stakeholders, vendors, and technology platforms. 
    • Demonstrated change and stakeholder leadership, with experience driving transformation programmes, managing complex initiatives, engaging stakeholders effectively, and maintaining a strong sense of ownership and architectural integrity.

    Principal Project Engineer

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Principal Project Engineer is responsible for the technical and project execution delivery of capital project orders and contracts, from initiation through to close-out. The role ensures that projects are delivered in line with contractual scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and governance requirements, with a strong focus on engineering excellence, project controls, and customer satisfaction.

    • Project & Contract Execution: Assume end‑to‑end accountability for the execution of capital projects from initiation through close‑out, ensuring disciplined delivery in line with approved scope, schedule, and budget. Define and own integrated project execution strategies, including resourcing, governance, milestones, and delivery sequencing. Lead cross‑functional coordination across engineering, planning, manufacturing, supply chain, site services, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and delivery certainty.
    • Project Management, Technical & Engineering Delivery: Provide senior technical and project leadership by applying recognised project management frameworks and engineering best practices to control scope, cost, schedule, risk, quality, and change. Establish robust performance monitoring, reporting, and escalation mechanisms. Lead complex technical solution development, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, engineering standards, constructability, and contractual obligations. Act as a key decision‑maker in resolving technical, quality, and execution risks across the project lifecycle.
    • Financial, Commercial, Reporting & CloseOut Accountability: Own financial and commercial performance at project level, including cost control, forecasting accuracy, cash flow, and margin protection. Partner closely with project controls and finance to achieve milestone delivery and cash collection targets. Govern contractual change management, ensuring variations are identified early, evaluated rigorously, and implemented in line with delegation of authority and governance requirements. Ensure disciplined project close‑out, including customer acceptance, documentation, handover, and post‑project review.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification (preferred).
    • Project Management Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Capital p\Project execution within an engineering, Manufacturing, Mining, Project House, or PMO environment, including at least 5 years in a lead project management or senior project engineering capacity.
    • Industry Experience: Proven experience managing small, medium, and large‑scale projects end‑to‑end, from project initiation through to contractual close‑out, with demonstrated ownership of delivery outcomes across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk. Experience working within mineral processing equipment, process plant, or material handling environments.
    • Governance & Contracts: Proven experience working within contract‑driven and governance‑controlled project environments, including application of formal project governance frameworks, change control, and delegation of authority. Demonstrated capability in interpreting and managing contractual obligations, variations, and risk exposure, while protecting commercial outcomes and ensuring compliance with internal and external governance requirements.

    Regional Supply Manager

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Regional Supply Manager leads regional supply planning across the EMEA. Region by aligning demand, production, procurement, and inventory strategies. This role ensures optimal stock levels, effective capacity balancing, and reduced lead times.
    • It owns the SIOP cycle, drives inventory optimisation and SLOB reduction, develops the regional supply planning team, and continually enhances planning processes, systems, and tools in line with global standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Forecasting, Analysis & Supply Planning Excellence

    • Develop accurate supply and inventory plans using statistical data, capacity inputs, sourcing information, and consumption trends.
    • Collaborate with demand planning, procurement, production, sales, inventory, and sourcing teams to enhance supply accuracy and reduce excess and SLOB inventory.
    • Evaluate inventory levels versus consumption and ageing, improve capacity utilisation, support annual budgeting, and proactively identify and mitigate supply risks, including budget performance risks.

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Lead and mentor a team of supply planners supporting production, procurement, and inventory planning.
    • Build team capability through coaching on SIOP processes, planning standards, best practices, ERP systems, and planning tools.
    • Develop strong cross functional partnerships with planning, operational, and leadership stakeholders to ensure accurate and approved supply and inventory plans.
    • Monitor team performance, support development plans, and apply corrective actions where required.

    Standardisation, Harmonisation & Stakeholder Alignment

    • Design and implement a harmonised regional supply planning framework by consolidating sub regional processes, systems, and planning methodologies.
    • Drive adoption of divisional standards and best practices aligned to strategic objectives.
    • Engage stakeholders across the region to ensure alignment to a unified supply planning approach.

    Governance, Systems & Continuous Improvement

    • Lead weekly and monthly SIOP cycles with robust governance, metrics, and decision making processes.
    • Track inventory and supply accuracy, highlight regional and global risks, and implement mitigation actions.
    • Represent EMEA in system implementations and enhancements, contribute to divisional tool and process design, and participate in the Mastering Systems programme.
    • Continuously review and improve planning methodologies, processes, and digital tools.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Relevant degree in Supply, Operations, Business Administration or related field.
    • 7+ years’ experience in supply or inventory planning, preferably in leadership positions.
    • Minimum 5 years of SAP/ERP and supply planning tools experience.
    • Kinaxis experience is highly advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management and analytical methods.
    • Proven leadership and/or project management capabilities.

    Industrial Engineering Analyst

    Purpose of the role:

    • This role involves working closely with data owners and the Operations Systems Manager to implement a Group Identified project aimed at standardizing routes and costing across multiple EMEA sites. Daily activities include data preparation, evaluation, and collaboration to meet key deliverables

    What you’ll do

    • Data Analysis & Costing: Analyse engineering, production, and operational data to develop and maintain accurate costing models. Interpret routing and process data to identify standardisation opportunities and inefficiencies. Validate cost drivers, labour times, machine rates, and material usage data.
    • Standardisation & Process Improvement: Develop, document, and maintain standard routing structures aligned with engineering and operational best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process optimization opportunities through data insights. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and reports. 
    • Reporting & Stakeholder Support: Prepare clear analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders. Translate complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations. Support audits, reviews, and management queries related to costing and routing data.

    What you’ll bring

    Must-haves:

    • BSc. or B.Eng. degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
    • Proficiency in Data Analysis, Advanced Excel, and Power BI.
    • Experience with Continuous Improvement Methods such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Theory of Constraints. 
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in data preparation and evaluation.
    • Project experience will be advantageous.

    Nice-to-haves: 

    • Knowledge of SAP ERP system.

    Tax Controversy & Audit Lead

    What you’ll do:

    • Tax Controversy & Audit Leadership: Act as the primary lead for all Revenue Authority audits, queries, and disputes across the region, ensuring that all audit adjustments are accurately reflected in the trial balance. Support the Tax Manager in updating and enhancing tax processes and practices in response to audit findings.
    • Tax Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee compliance for all direct and indirect taxes across regional geographies, working closely with the Tax Compliance Controller and Tax Reporting & Transfer Pricing Lead to ensure adherence, identify tax risks, implement corrective measures, improve processes, and monitor internal tax controls. Travel within the region as required to assess regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Technical Review & Accuracy: Perform secondary sign-off on all tax returns prepared by external advisors, review tax reconciliations completed by tax team. Partner with the Tax Reporting Lead to ensure technical accuracy of tax provisions and uncertain tax positions for both management and statutory reporting.
    • Legislative Monitoring & Advisory: Stay updated on regulatory and legislative developments, proactively brief the Tax Manager on risks to operations and Effective Tax Rate (ETR). Support the tax manager in providing tax-efficient structuring for new projects, entity closures, and tax registrations.
    • Tax Strategy, Risk Assessment & Process Improvement: Engage proactively with business teams across Africa and Middle East to assess tax implications of transactions, new ventures, and major contracts..

    What you’ll bring

    Must-haves:

    • Degree in Accounting (or similar) and qualification in Taxation. 
    • 6+ years post-qualification experience in tax accounting, compliance, and proven experience responding to tax audits through liasing with tax authorities and external advisors.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills combined with commercial and financial awareness. 
    • Ability to work independently, proactively suggest improvements, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
    • Experience managing relationships with external advisory networks.

    Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience within a multinational organisation.
    • Prior experience within a revenue authority.
    • Leadership/supervisory experience.
