    Summary:

    To grow and support a Massbuild roofing strategy through strategic relationships with both internal support structures and suppliers to increase market share and become a household name for roofing in Southern Africa.

    Functions / Responsibilities:

    Construction Account Manager Support and Development

    • Provide technical and sales support to all internal customers where you identify a need or where requested to in order to achieve financial targets.
    • Build & enhance professional relationships with key internal customers and all support departments within Builders.
    • Ensure that you are accessible to all support departments in order for them to be able to contact you regarding needs/ difficulties/ queries. All matters should be continuously communicated and resolved as soon as required which will ensure customers are satisfied with the support and service received by Builders.
    • Provide customers with the right advice and recommendations in order to supply the correct application. Engage with the relevant expert to ensure all queries and concerns are resolved timeously and to the customer’s satisfaction.
    • Attend to customer complaints & concerns & ensure that appropriate, corrective action is taken. In order to learn as a team communicate problems experienced to the team with solutions thereby ensuring the team could deal with similar issues in the future.
    • Ensure escalated issues are communicated to the relevant parties and followed up regularly to ensure all matters are resolved and closed according to the customer’s expectation when required or allocated by your Regional Manufacturing Manager

    Drive & develop key relationships with existing and new customers resulting in new and old customer growth

    • Identify, build & enhance professional relationships with key roofing customers in your region through regular visits & reviews so that you are able to understand, anticipate & meet the customer’s needs. This relationship will assist you in achieving the required financial targets.
    • Ensure you plan your time accordingly to achieve regular visits and reviews resulting in existing and new customer’s being serviced as per their requirements. Key to your success and measure is the creation and opportunity of new business.
    • Continuously look for new opportunities for the Manufacturing and Roofing business whilst you are in the market.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

    • Matric
    • Basic MiTek Qualification
    • Computer literate
    • 3-5 year experience in a sales or technical roofing position of a similar nature.
    • Employment experience in the roofing industry

    Snr Mng II Operations Support

    To learn, develop and shadow on overall accountability for total regional performance. Groom skills sets into management of store operations, provides direction for the implementation of strategic decisions and sales & marketing activities to ensure planned revenues are achieved whilst working within budgeted costs

    FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Regional Strategy

    • Understand business vision and develop regional strategy in line with Wholesale cash and carry strategy and targets
    • Analyse regional demand expectations, match to regional capacity and ensure resources i.e. stock, infrastructure, human capital,
    • facilities and budget are in place to achieve set targets
    • ICU rescue plans to ensure recovery to align with national strategy
    • Ensure resource planning and sales drive to ensure store sales leverage
    • Cascading of regional strategy down to store to branch manager level

    Regional Operations

    • Implement an annual regional business / operational action plan that will achieve regional targets
    • Ensure that all relevant role players understand the targets & action plans
    • Utilise standard performance models to measure regional performance against targets and take corrective action where required
    • Financial Models: Sales – Appropriate customer focus & acquisition; appropriate promotional activity; appropriate range extension / categories; franchise. Margin.
    • Customer profitability; pricing and promotional activity. Expenses – monitoring of all categories.
    • Working Capital model: Creditors, stock on hand, debtors and nett working capital
    • Drive revenue and category growth in the region by implementing, measuring and managing sales and patronage action plans

    Regional Budget

    • Compile a comprehensive capital and operational budget indicating expected regional operating revenue and expenses
    • Manage the compilation of budgets per function and at store level and consolidate to a final regional budget
    • Implement and monitor expenditure against budget to ensure spending remains within the set parameters
    • Formulate action plans to address deviations from budget

    People Management

    • Drive and monitor regional employment equity targets against MCW EE Plan
    • Engage in Talent Management – Recruitment, Succession Planning & Pipeline development, Performance Management
    • Develop Individual Development Plans to enable employee career plans
    • Manage non-performance through performance process

    Manage Team Delivery based on performance plans

    • Foster team building
    • Ensure that the training, development and motivation of staff in the region is implemented as well as coach and mentor store
    • managers to ensure that all staff are encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution
    • Ensure optimum staffing levels are maintained – Implement Ideal Store Structure

    Requirements:

    • Commercial degree, preferably with Sales or Retail background.
    • Minimum 5 years related wholesale Management experience.
