    Clerk: Data Capturer

    • Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to be part of a high-performing operational team? We are looking for a Data Capturing Clerk to join our dynamic Wool processing environment. This is a key role responsible for accurate lot number allocation, data capturing, quality control, and administrative support.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
    • 1–2 years’ experience in data capturing, admin, or inventory control
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and data systems)
    • Bilingual ( Afrikaans and English)
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
    • Willingness to perform ad hoc duties and support operational needs

    Skills Required

    • Fast and accurate data entry
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Effective time management and ability to prioritize
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Sound problem-solving and decision-making ability
    • Organizational and filing skills

    Key Responsibilities

    • Allocate lot numbers and maintain clip data received from Administration Clerks.
    • Ensure accurate and consistent farmer descriptions across all systems.
    • Update bale marker recording sheets after each Fibre delivery.
    • Maintain sample records and submit documentation to the Wool Testing Bureau.
    • File clip worksheet boxes and update stationery inventory regularly.
    • Perform general housekeeping and support Health & Safety standards.
    • Support internal teams and assist with truck checking during peak seasons.
    • Ensure 100% accuracy in all documentation, including system entries and physical records.

    Internal and External Customers

    You’ll work closely with:

    • Internal: Admin Clerks, Supervisors, Bale Markers, Receiving Clerks, Wool Testing Bureau, Technical Admin
    • External: Farmers, Transporters, and Auditors

    Piranha Machine Operator

    Job Description

    • Are you mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in wool processing or machine operation? We are looking for a Piranha Machine Operator to join our production team and contribute to high-quality fibre processing.
    • This role is crucial in operating the Piranha machine to separate cotted fibres, remove vegetable matter (VMC), and support wool preparation processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and take pride in precision, this may be the opportunity for you.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Minimum 2 years of machine operating experience (preferably in wool or fibre processing)
    • Knowledge of wool properties and classification
    • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
    • Physically fit and able to handle wool bales
    • Comfortable working in a factory/warehouse environment
    • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures

    Competencies

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure
    • Team-oriented with clear communication skills
    • Good recordkeeping and reporting accuracy
    • Physical stamina and safety-conscious mindset

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Operate the Piranha or similar wool-processing machine safely and efficiently
    • Break down hardened wool and remove vegetable matter
    • Inspect processed wool for cleanliness and quality standards
    • Conduct routine machine checks and report any faults
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
    • Meet daily production targets and minimize fibre waste
    • Record operational data and support team workflow

    Working Conditions

    • Factory environment with exposure to dust, wool fibres, and machine noise
    • Standing and manual work required throughout shifts
    • PPE must be worn at all times (gloves, dust masks, safety boots, goggles, etc.)
