    Senior Technician: Customer Relations Management (CRM) -Internal/External (Hay level 15/C4)

    Key Performance Areas

    Financial Recovery and Sustainability

    • Contribute to the implementation of effective cost recovery system/method to improve timeous customer on registration, invoicing and reduce debtors.
    • Schedule and execute timeous renewal of customer's contracts and Service Level Agreements.
    • Processing of sample registration (Job Cards) and invoicing (RTI) on an as and when required basis.
    • Assist Section Head to consolidate all NLS job cards and invoices such that 90% of them meet requested/promised TAT.

    Profitable Commercial Enterprises

    • Keep track of customer attrition and recommend means to manage areas of concern in order to attain good customer loyalty.
    • Assist with updating of prices on the items inventory and invoicing system (e.g. CRM Software) as required
    • Respond to customer requests for quotations and overseeing the capturing of purchase orders (i.e. receipt and registration of customers goods, transfer of Job cards to laboratory as well as regular reporting of performances)
    • Visibly contribute to services branding and promotional activities conducted/required by CTS scientists and lab managers.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of an effective Customer Acquisition (Sales Pipeline Creation) plan to increase customer base as well as market share.

    Business Continuity and Efficiency

    • Maintenance and improvement of internal and external CRM business processes and communications/reporting in order to ensure efficiency and good stakeholders and customers relations.
    • Update customers, suppliers and vendor database for all NLS business units
    • Assist with stakeholders/management holistic and integrated reporting on revenues and other sales-related parameters
    • Support the timeous closing of financial audit findings, follow-up timeously on every assigned issue, answer customer enquiries, and complaints.
    • Support customer engagement activities according to approved schedule for the FY and general communication customer’s affairs
    • Contribute with capturing, analysis and responding to customer’s complaints.
    • Preparation of new CRM quality documents and review of existing ones in accordance with document authorship matrix.
    • Perform BBS activities (observer and observations) as contracted by CRM section head.

    Talent Excellence and High-Performance Culture

    • Assist Section Head in managing and supervising employees assigned for the specified roles that contribute to the duties of the senior technician.
    • Training of personnel on standard operating processes and use of applicable software.
    • Assist Section Head in performance contracting and ongoing work assessment for identified personnel as required.
    • Capturing of necessary data and information required for routine management reporting in an approved information system.
    • Maintain his or her professional certification or recognition up to date.
    • Annual performance contracting and IDP.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • BSc Chemistry or B. Tech (Analytical Chemistry/ Lab Management) or Equivalent.
    • Certificate in Accounting or Financial management will be an added advantage.
    • Must have a driver’s license.
    • Five (5) years working as Technician/Analyst in a relevant analytical laboratory
    • At least 1 year experience in financial administration.

    Key Performance Areas

    Production 

    • Operate the plant in line with approved work instructions,  guidelines and management directives
    • Assist  in updating of work instructions
    • Monitor process trends and SPC data to ensure the production process is within operating parameters and do corrections accordingly.

    Key Performance Areas

    Plant Operations/Manufacturing:

    • Report all defects to the necessary discipline using the COSWIN system and prescribed documentation.

    Safety Officer Re-Advertisement - Hay Level 12 (Internal & External Advert)

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Process Management

    • Provide health and safety advice to line management and their personnel.
    • Assist line management in ensuring compliance to the SHEQ system w.r.t. Occupational Hygiene and Industrial Safety
    • Report Industrial Safety and Occupational Hygiene matters to management, senior Safety Officer and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Assist the line management in the implementation of an Industrial Safety programme and compliance to the SHEQ system
    • Provide input in the compilation of reports on the status and effectiveness of the Industrial Safety and Occupational Hygiene programme
    • Present training on facility conventional safety programme (e.g. procedures, forms, templates and registers
    • Assist in the management and chairing of Safety Committee meetings

    Process Implementation 

    • Perform on-the-job safety evaluation of projects, processes and procedures in order to identify, control and protect against hazards.
    • Invigilate activities in the facilities to ensure safe operation
    • Prescribe and control protective measures required on work permits and in work instructions (Written Safe Work Procedures and Safe Work Method Statements) for routine and low risk tasks.
    • Assist line management with incident investigations
    • Prescription of appropriate personal protective equipment and ensure that such equipment is provided and used correctly.

    Process Management and Implementation (Specialization)

    • Assist in the evaluation and selection of suitable contractor(s) based on their competencies, knowledge and resources to carry-out project work or construction work safely
    • Assist in the preparation of contract documentation related to construction health and safety requirements (e.g. Section 37(1) Agreements).
    • Evaluate contractor(s) health and safety plans to ensure compliance to Necsa standard health and safety specification.
    • Invigilate activities of the contractor and ensure that means of controls exist between the client and contractors to stop any work that endangers or has the potential to endanger contactor(s) workers.
    • Assist in the review all construction SHEQ-INS documents as subject matter specialist as and when the review dates are due.

    Audits (Internal and External)

    • Prepare for and attend inspections/audits (SHEQ, SABS, NNR etc)
    • Close inspection/audit findings w.r.t conventional safety
    • Assist line management with statutory and regulatory surveys, inspections and audits.
    • Conduct internal audits on the implementation of the industrial safety programme. Carry-out SHEQ inspection and audits on a contraction site(s) to ensure compliance with Necsa SHEQ requirements.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent. Professional registration (e.g. Construction Health and Safety Officer) will be an added advantage.
    • At least 3 years in the implementation of SHEQ systems.

    The following would be advantageous:

    • Formal safety management courses such as SAMTRAC and/or Occupational Hygiene certificate.
    • Knowledge of quality management software.
