    Close Protection Officer

    Purpose

    • To ensure that the Group Physical Security policy is consistently applied and adhered to address and adequately manage physical security related risks within the Group. Responsible for the provision and operation of physical security, promoting a customer focused, positive security culture, to provide a safe and secure environment

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualification - Matric Certification
    • Preferred Qualification - Certificate/Diploma in Security
    • Close protection certificate
    • Defensive and offensive driving certificate
    • Firearm competency / Business purpose accredited
    • Valid driver’s license
    • First responder level first aid training
    • Verified PSIRA Certification grade A certified by SAPS
    • Proficient in reporting and communication at management levels
    • Possess good skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office packages
    • Accurate investigation and production of level 4 incident reports with documented transmission to HOD
    • Full knowledge of giving evidence
    • Understanding of courts and court procedures
    • Use of close protection vehicle techniques and route selection
    • Threat and risk assessment continuously and Surveillance awareness

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate cost consciousness and awareness of personal contribution to costs and productivity
    • Identify and escalates potential risks that may lead to increased costs
    • Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and implementing appropriate security measures to prevent any harm or danger to the client
    • Provide close protection services to clients, including but not limited to escorting clients to and from various locations, providing personal security, and monitoring the client's surroundings for potential threats
    • Plan and implement security measures for events, conferences, and meetings attended by clients
    • Maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness, including monitoring and responding to any potential security breaches or suspicious activity.
    • Liaise with local law enforcement and security personnel as needed to ensure the client's safety and security
    • Conduct regular assessments of the client's security arrangements and implementing changes as necessary to improve the client's safety
    • Prepare detailed reports and providing recommendations to the client and other key stakeholders on security matters
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
    • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability
    • Conduct SOS risk analysis and conduct threat and risk assessment continuously
    • Management of sub-contractors pertaining to operations, communication, and new projects
    • Ensure the correct Occupational Health & Safety Procedures are followed within the operations division as a whole
    • Effective daily liaison with the HOD and operational management
    • Advice and design proactive procedures to stay up to date with current crime related issues
    • Generate intel on local crime in the area
    • Generate weekly reports on general crime in the area
    • International SOS risk analyses
    • Conduct premises risk analyses international
    • Confirm access Policies and Procedures are followed as set out by the HOD also advice and design on new projects

    Business Solutions Head B

    Purpose

    • To manage the design and implementation of appropriate and sustainable solutions and ensure effective collaboration and intergration across product houses, business units and segments

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualification - Relevant Degree
    • Preferred Qualification - Relevant Post Graduate
    • Experience - 5 to 8 years experience in a similar environment, of which 2 to 3 years ideally at management level
    • Knowledge Required : Solution viability assessment and business case orientation
    • Strong understanding of business process definition and re-engineering requirements
    • Strong understanding of project management and system, data or business testing requirements principles
    • Experience in documenting and implementing complex and/ or multiple projects/ initiatives in line with business vision and strategy
    • Experience in the analysis and compilation of business information and intelligence
    • Strong knowledge and use of design process tools (e.g. Visio, Firstmap)

    Responsibilities

    • Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances
    • Coordinate teams to ensure end to end implementation of prioritised and approved solutions for relevant product house, business unit or segment
    • Ensure effective analysis of data for identification of opportunities for efficiencies and growth in business

    Purpose

    • To provide the customers with excellent service by ensuring that they are served promptly, understanding their needs, processing their requests.
