    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 or N3
    • 2-3 years experience in a similar environment

    Primary Duties

    • Uses gantry crane to fetch material for blasting
    • Blast parts to prepare for coat
    • Set up and operate a blast booth
    • Remove dirt,paint, grease and other built-up materials
    • Clean the shotblast machine

    Senior Pipeline Engineer

    Minimum Requirements

    • Formal Civil Engineering Degree B Eng or BSc Eng Civil Engineering
    • Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa
    • 4-6 years applicable post graduate experience with a minimum of four years’ experience in the design of large diameter steel bulk water pipelines and related structures, three years construction experience
    • Liaison and effective communication with other departments and stakeholders in the industry

    Primary Duties

    • In conjunction with the survey, GIS section assist in the route section of the steel pipelines
    • Undertake hydraulic design for pumping and gravity pipelines ranging from 600mm-3500mm in diameter including suction and delivery headers.
    • Produce longitudinal section drawings based on hydraulic analysis
    • Perform the pipeline selection of materials for the steel grade, lining and coating system and the backfilling material.
    • Must have understanding of cathodic protection system and its impact to pipeline design
    • Structural pipeline design:- analyze the pipe to soil system: design loads, deflections, pipe buckling
    • Design of all pipe specials such as bends, miters and compensation plates.
    • Sizing of air valve and scour pipes
    • Design of pipeline structures: valve chambers for housing air, isolating, reflux and scour valves.
    • Compilation of contract document made up design criteria, design reports , specifications,bills of quantities, drawings and relevant standards
    • Direct, manage and develop junior engineers within the Pipeline Engineering Design Team inthe Design Office, including the reviewing of team outputs for technical  accuracy,adequacy,and compliance with set pipeline or civil design standards and organizational procedures
    • Manage the interface with other engineering design disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical,process, architectural and automation), consultants, asset engineers/managers, project teams, and contractors to accomplish completely integrated pipeline designs

    Senior Automation Electrical Design Engineer

    Minimum Requirements

    • Completed B Sc (Eng)/B Eng degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
    • Already registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
    • Five years’ relevant post qualification experience in industrial electrical plant comprising MV and LV switchgear, LV and MV motor drives, transformers, UPS systems, cable installations, MV and LV reticulation systems, LV variable speed drives and soft starters and automation control systems interfacing to PLC/SCADA systems.
    • Experience in the design of appropriate electrical control, interlocking and protection systems, including feeder and motor protection. Experience in the integration of components into a functional electrical and instrumentation system.
    • A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in the installation and hand on site commissioning and testing of integrated industrial electrical plant including MV and LV switchgear and reticulation, LV and MV motor drives and MV and LV cabling and instrumentation.
    • Two years’ relevant design experience comprising sizing of electrical equipment, drawings including single line diagrams, general arrangements and schematic diagrams to IEC standards, cable schedules, specifications of equipment and Bills of Quantities. The ability to generate effective, practical and quality design packages to engineering problems.
    • Experience in Quality Control Plans (QCP) of electrical equipment including LV and MV switchgear, transformers, stationary battery chargers and batteries and UPS systems and Factory Acceptance Testing of same at manufacturers’ works.

    • Integration of a proposed engineering solution into an operating plant, where required, with minimal effect to the operation of such plant.
    • Be part of and contribute to the interface with other engineering design disciplines (mechanical, civil, pipelines, process, architectural and automation), consultants, asset engineers/managers, project managers and team, and contractors’ designers to accomplish completely integrated electrical designs suitable for implementation.
