    Professional Nurse

    We are looking for an Outreach Professional Nurse to provide high quality HTS and outreach services in communities. Ensure safe and secure transportation of staff members to and from outreach sites and offices. Responsible for managing the mobile clinic or work vehicle.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Transport and Logistics

    • Ensure safe and secure transit to and from outreach sites and offices. Responsible for managing the mobile clinic or work vehicle.
    • Maintain fuel, mileage, and maintenance records as instructed by Project manager, site Coordinator/ Administrator.
    • Ensure all field equipment is loaded and unloaded each shift (chairs, tents, generators, etc.).
    • Ensure all the items in the vehicle are handled correctly and you should report all the damages that occurred. 
    • Follow all the rules/regulations of the road relating to the National Road Traffic Act of South Africa and as per Anova vehicle SOP and safety requirements.
    • Ensure that you keep up to date with Anova’s vehicle policy.
    • Responsible for driving yourself and the team to the sites of work as and when required, and you should adhere to the Anova vehicle management policy.
    • Submit weekly vehicle inspection checklist to the project administrator and provide a written report in case of any incident or accident to the vehicle.

    Outreach support work

    • Provide an integrated, holistic client centered HTS with support.
    • Conduct HTS as per the National HIV Counselling and Testing policy/guidelines.
    • Ensure all HIV positive diagnosed clients are navigated to the nearest facilities.
    • Ensure newly diagnosed positive client is initiated on ART.
    • Ensure IQC is done and recorded as per SOP.
    • Ensure compliance to HTS, waste management and infection control guidelines and policies.
    • Encourage PWUDs to seek health care, including HCT and STI screenings.
    • Ensure that there are adequate HTS supplies for outreach.
    • Ensure that there is no misuse of company resources.
    • Ensure testing supplies are stored corrected in the field.
    • Ensure that you always use a cooler box to collect and store your HTS supplies.
    • Support the professional nurse with supply management of the mobile clinic contents.

    Administration support work

    • All client’s data completed correctly and submitted daily.
    • Record keeping into DoH HTS register.
    • High quality HTS data reported daily.
    • Data queries attended to within 24 hours.
    • Monitoring HTS data and ensuring targets are met.
    • Delegated administration chores done, as required.
    • Professional conduct maintained at work as per applicable policies.
    • Develop strong relationships with health facilities in implementing district to ensure linkage to care for referred PWID.
    • Submit timesheets timely.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse.
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
    • NIMART (Nurse Initiated Management of ART) qualification (essential).
    • Must have a dispensing license.
    • Valid Drivers’ License with PDP
    • At least 3 years’ driving experience.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in an HIV/Aids counselling and testing (HCT) setting.

    Clinical Nurse Practitioner

    • We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Practitioner to support initiation of HIV infected clients on ART, PrEP, STI treatment, NIMART mentoring and ensure full implementation of the 90 90 90 activities in the Eastern Sub-District.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • To champion all ANOVA 90-90-90 activities and oversee ANOVA staff at facilities (lead facility meetings and data review, monitor attendance and liaise between ANOVA and the facility)
    • Work with the outreach teams to get referrals and to initiate ART for eligible HIV infected clients including PrEP and attend MDT to support community recalls
    • Provide follow up care for patients on treatment in line with DoH HIV Management guidelines as well as Anova work plan and Facility 90-90-90 plans
    • Routinely monitor performance & registers of (TB/HIV/STI) programmes at facility level and provide mentorship & technical support where required
    • Identify poor performing indicators, put together quality improvement (QI) plans and implement as agreed upon with the facility and ANOVA team
    • Identify training needs at facility level and arrange in-service training where needed
    • Train clinic staff on MSM Diversity trainer and biomedical training and mentor staff at facilities
    • Use relevant M&E tools to report weekly to Anova sub-district team on number of clients initiated on ART and TPT
    • Support facilities with implementation of I-ACT support groups and Chronic treatment clubs in line with Anova’s work plan
    • Ensure holistic care is provided example acute and chronic condition of the PLHIV

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
    • Midwifery is a requirement
    • Clinical Assessment Treatment & Care (PHC Nurse Clinician)
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
    • NIMART trained (western cape) and certified as competent to work independently
    • NIMART mentor certificate would be advantageous
    • At least 4 years’ experience in working at a clinic (PHC or CHC) facility
    • At least 2 years NIMART experience

    HTS Coordinator

    • We are looking for a HTS Coordinator that will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of facility and out of facility, community case finding (HTS), case management and retention support activities within the Western Cape APACE program through coordinating the various projects facets, including HR, logistics and administration.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee the implementation of Anova’s case finding, case management and retention support activities at facility and community level, in line with 909090 strategy and workplan
    • Oversee the implementation, coordination, and support of all HIV prevention strategies: DREAMS, MINA, PREP, ICT, Risk Screening tool and HIV SS
    • Provide leadership and oversight to Anova Counsellors and HTS Testers allocated to work at primary health care facilities, hospital, and community
    • Work with a team of Anova counsellors and HTS testers and ensure that they meet all required DoH standards to provide case finding, linkage to care and retention in care strategies
    • Oversee implementation and maintenance of HTS/CLI quality improvement activities at facility and community level as required and ensure compliance with DoH policies
    • Identify training needs at facility and community level and make logistical arrangements for such trainings
    • Coordinate all data collection and management processes provided by your teams.
    • Engage in data quality assurance and internal control activities
    • Update project assets registers and inventories
    • Laisse regularly with Anova M&E department to ensure accurate project reports

    Social Worker

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support implementation of MSM HIV Programme in the province.
    • Provide integrated developmental social welfare services to the vulnerable MSM.
    • Strengthen referral linkages within the health systems, facilities and CBO’s, Anova and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Oversee the implementation of the MSM adherence support groups in the province.
    • Support outreach teams, counsellors and professional nurses in conducting case-finding at antiretroviral (ART) sites.

    • At least 3 years’ experience working in HIV/AIDS programme and supervision of staff.

    Peer Educator

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Peer Mobilization

    • Recruit at least 80 clients each month to introduce the programme and the available services
    • Do risk assessment to those 80 clients reached each month
    • Refer those 80 clients to Nurses, HTS, Linkage Officers, Advocacy officer, and the Social Auxiliary Worker

    Field Support

    • Provide harm reduction information and package to at least 80 clients monthly
    • Manage your cohort and ensure they are provided with services and report to the coordinator to update your register

    Mapping

    • Identify at least two new sites monthly
    • All the sites must be added to your mapping tool

    Debriefing and Counselling Sessions

    • Ensure that you attend social debriefing and give monthly feedback to the coordinator

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    Professional Nurse

    • We are looking to appoint a Professional Nurse to provide technical, programme and capacity-building support on MSM and related issues. The Professional Nurse will be a member of a Health4Men technical support team and will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to build, facilitate and support provincial capacity to deliver MSM/TG competent health services. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Training and Mentoring 

    • Forecasting of training and mentoring plans for the province
    • Mentoring of clinical and non-clinical internal and DoH staff on MSM health issues at facilities supported by Anova, using the Standard National Treatment and Mentorship Guidelines

    Technical Support

    • On site-in-service trainings of professional and non- professional health care workers on expanded programs for the care and treatment of MSM
    • Prepare and present articles and interesting case studies at stakeholder engagement meetings
    • Supervision of enrolled nurses on quality control and PT assessments

    Clinical Management

    • Provide comprehensive care for Men who have sex with Men through physical examination, clinical staging and formulating an appropriate clinical diagnosis
    • Provide MSM specific materials, condoms and sachets of water based lubricants
    • Ensure prompt referral for further management of advanced MSM related problems
    • PrEP initiation and ART initiations
    • Identify barriers to service delivery, and make recommendations

    Quality Control

    • Make sure referral systems are functioning
    • Ensure facilities have all the guidelines and MSM specific IEC materials
    • Identify additional trainings needed at facilities, and organize the training
    • Work closely with M and E team to review facility data, and provide feedback to sites;

    Stakeholder Management

    • Represent Anova and present progress reports at partner district review meetings and district HAST meetings
    • Co-ordinate and supervise activities of the district outreach team

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Professional nurse registered with the South African Nursing Council
    • NIMART competent
    • 5-8 years' experience in working as a professional nurse and or midwife
    • Experience in working with MSM and related issues
    • Experience in working in an ART programme, CCMT and or PMTCT, as well as good understanding of the problems faced by individuals infected and affected by HIV
    • Sufficient experience in STIs, family planning and immunisation programmes
    • Ability to communicate in English and at least on one two other vernacular languages

    Payroll Administrator

    We are looking for a skilled, experienced, innovative, and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage specific parts of the payroll, ensure effectiveness and efficient operations of the payroll department. The successful candidate will coordinate and capture employee activity into the Sage 300 People payroll system.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    Payroll

    • Ensure all input received is processed accurately within the specified time, according to Anova procedures and Statutory laws.
    • Capture new employees on Sage 300 People from authorised documents.
    • Generate employee numbers and files for new employees.
    • Filing paperwork into employee files and other files.
    • Ensure paperwork is filed accurately and in alphabetical/numerical order.
    • Capture terminated employees on Sage 300 People, following full termination process.
    • Capture overtime claims onto Sage 300 People.
    • Calculate and capture consultant hours from timesheets or invoices.
    • Manage, maintain, and update payroll related data.
    • Monitor Payroll Admin e-mails and follow up on all queries to ensure payroll data is kept up to date.
    • Co-ordinate and capture data from Per Diems and Travel Claims received from Finance onto Sage 300 People, ensuring no duplications.
    • Generate dummy payslips on Sage 300 People for potential new staff as requested by HR Department.

     ESS, Info Slips, Timesheets & Medical Aid

    • Approve leave on ESS in line with BCEA and Company Policy.
    • Ensure all employees are linked to the correct approvers on ESS.
    • Ensure all applicable employees are impersonated correctly on ESS.
    • Assist and guide all employees on the process to reset their passwords.
    • Monitor ESS Admin e-mails.
    • Capture annual and sick leave onto Sage 300 People.
    • Export of Info Slips from Sage 300 People, generation of PUK Letters, sending out info slips. monthly by e-mail to all employees linked to this option.
    • Verify timesheets from projects on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure timesheets and leave correspond and address discrepancies.
    • Process Discovery and UMVUZO applications for new employees.
    • Maintenance of medical changes on payroll on an annual & monthly basis.

     General Payroll Administration

    • Ensure all termination checklist documents, final timesheets are signed off correctly.
    • Ensure all payroll input is placed accurately in the monthly folders/files for payroll checks and for audit requests.
    • Assist with audit reviews.
    • Complete Department of Labour UI19s for terminated and employees on maternity leave.
    • Respond to external employee confirmations and staff queries.
    • Process payments to employees for the 10th, 25th and adhoc payment runs each month.

    Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Matric Certificate.
    • Certification on Sage VIP Premier/Sage 300 People and ESS.
    • 5 years’ experience in payroll administration on Sage VIP.
    • Experience in Sage 300 People advantageous.
    • BIM/Smart/Sage Reporting.
    • Sound knowledge of BCEA and LRA.
    • Report generation (Excel and Sage 300 People).
