    Officer, Receiving

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 2-3 years  Experience in warehouse, operational environment, and SAP MM Module (Essential/Minimum) Operational

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
    • Pub Driv Lic: Code B (Essential/Minimum)
    • Forklift (Essential/Minimum)
    • Competence: SAP Position Specific Module (Essential/Minimum)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    POSITION TASKS:

    Administration and Document Control

    • Ensure queries and complaints resolved and progress reported
    • Assist with item issuing, delivery, binning and dispatching
    • Capture and process receiving documents data manually into SAP
    • Ensure processed data is available to authorised staff
    • File processing documents and maintain confidentiality
    • Note incorrect deliveries accordingly on supplier’s delivery documentation

    Business Performance and Operations

    • Conduct accurate and timeous receiving of materials, signing delivery documentation correctly on behalf of the organisation, materials management, reporting and capturing
    • Participate and provide support in the audit process and improvement of the warehouse function
    • Report incorrect and damaged items immediately to coordinator, warehouse and receiving/buyer
    • Execute standardised processes and investigate improvement of warehouse processes.

    Compliance, Governance and Assurance

    • Provide guidance to direct reports and customers to ensure compliance
    • Create awareness, address unsafe or non-conforming practices
    • Utilisation of the SAP module to ensure data integrity
    • Governance: Ensure function adheres to governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline

    Functional Excellence

    • Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end- to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
    • Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up of functional processes and eliminating duplication/bureaucracy
    • Apply functional best practices and promote sharing of best practices/knowledge
    • Assist in the execution of functional excellence initiatives

    Operational Support

    • Execute of material management reporting
    • Oversee truck loading/offloading by external parties and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures
    • Record received items, compare with original order and ensure availability for binning
    • Ensure specified items are sealed to prevent dust/corrosion
    • Ensure stacked items are bound during handling from trucks and during warehousing in accordance with policies and procedures to prevent damage or injury

    People Management

    • Performance management: Adhere to performance management procedures
    • Culture/functional climate: Uphold the Company culture and values within the function. Foster effective teamwork and unity

    Receiving Process

    • Support the implementation of Information Management (IM) technology and infrastructure that supports Supply Chain Management (SCM) receiving processes
    • Provide support in audit process and improvement of site receiving function

    Safe and Healthy Work Environment

    • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment and safe operations practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
    • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
    • Ensure good housekeeping in area of responsibility

    Systems Infrastructure and Enablement

    • Participate in and support the implementation of IM technology and infrastructure that supports SCM processes in receiving unit
    • Utilise relevant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) module in a manner that ensures data integrity
    • Provide support in audit process

    Safety Officer

    Minimum Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • N Dip: Safety Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • B Tech (Relevant) (Recommended/Desirable)

    EXPERIENCE: 

    •  3-5 years  Relevant safety operations within a heavy industry, mining and production environment     (Essential/Minimum)  Operational

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
    • MHS Act Reg 2.17.1 (Safety Officer) (Essential/Minimum)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Compliance, Governance and Assurance    

    • Adhere to relevant legislation and Business Unit (BU) requirements
    • Manage risk by assessing liabilities, reporting and monitoring standards and attending to problems
    • Create awareness, conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) interventions and address unsafe practices in timeous manner
    • Implement and maintain an audit structure
    • Conduct internal and external safety and environmental audits
    • Compile statistical and legal monthly reports
    • Ensure adherence to International Organisational Standards (ISO)/Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements (Management of Change)

    Customer and Client Relationship Management    

    • Maintain good relationships with customers
    • Understand customer needs and provide solutions
    • Respond to customer queries as per Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
    • Address all customer complaints as per service management policies and guidelines
    • Continuously endeavour to improve service delivery
    • Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained within the service management targets
    • Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Representative empowerment (mentoring and coaching)
    • Influence BU safety culture through Visible Felt Leadership (VFL)

    SHEC Operations    

    • Effective contractor management in terms of quality assurance
    • Input into SHE induction material and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements
    • Coach internal staff as per corporate programmes
    • Facilitate and monitor compliance in terms of training requirements
    • Provide an expert advisory service to line and Head, SHE and present statistical findings and performance
    • Chair relevant SHE Representative meetings, when required
    • Facilitate HIRA process
    • Conduct inspections as per legislation
    • Incident investigation process as per Chief Safety Officer instruction
    • Assist in the evaluation of discipline-specific standards, principles and practice to enable planning, design and implementation of safe outcomes that support business strategy
    • Provide specialist safety training and support, as per legislative requirements
    • Ensure effective management of sphere of control in terms of geographical area
    • Effectively manage interdepartmental relationships
    • Timeous closure of Department of Mineral Resources and Department of Labour directives, governance regarding Business Unit non-conformance
    • Facilitating incident investigations outside of sphere of control/responsibility

    Safe and Healthy Work Environment    

    • Adhere to all health/safety practices and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis
    • Appointment under section 74 and regulation 2.17.1 of the Mine Health and Safety Act

    Manager, Mineral Resources Management

    Minimum Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • B Eng (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum or)
    • BSc (Hons) Geosciences (Essential/Minimum)
    • Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
    • MSc Mineral Resource Management (Recommended/Desirable)

    EXPERIENCE: 

    •  8-10 years  Experience in geology, mining or plant operations of which at least 5 years’ experience within Mine Planning and Mineral Resources Management environment    (Essential/Minimum) Operational

    • Engineering Council of SA (PrEng) (Essential/Minimum or)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

    Ability to:

    • Manage the Mineral Resources Management function, involving Mine Surveying, Geology, Rock Engineering and Mine Planning within the Business Unit with the view to optimizing the value chain from resource to market. 
    • Optimize business value through applying Technical improvements, Operational excellence and Mineral Resource Management principles.
